Similar to C4T but not the same
Loved my Rocky C4T boots. Lightest, fastest boot I have ever run with. Problem is the lugs started coming off after a couple years of use. Shoe goo holds them on, but when you loose the lug there isn't anything to reattach. They don't make the C4T anymore and the RLW was the closest Rocky boot I could find to it. My review is pretty much a comparison of the two boots. Keep in mind that the situation and environment is going to be instrumental in deciding whether a boot's features are suited for your use. I'm looking for boots that are suited for running and sprinting over hard ground in urban areas and clearing rooms in CQB situations. I have different boots for mucking in and others for rocking in.In my opinion, The RLW's are suited for somewhere between urban and dry, uneven terrain.-Positives: The Tread is one piece so there will be no lugs or treads comming loose. The boot has the Airport insole which is perfect for support and great for running on hard surfaces. The leather upper extends high enough to protect the foot but stops short enough to allow full range of motion. Toe box is larger than the C4T (which was a little tight in my opinion). Priced very low so I don't feel bad about abusing them.-Negatives: Midsole is very stiff.-This is great for hiking and rucking over rocks, but not as great for speed and agility in a CQB scenario. Weight-This Boot is about 50%heavier than my C4T. While it is still lighter than my Reeboks, I wish it was as featherweight as my old C4T's.I wear a size 12 shoe and my combat boots have always been around size 13. They only Had the RLW's in 14, but the price was low enough to take the chance. I have about 1/2 inch of extra room in the toe but the boot fits good on my foot and my toes aren't cramped. I think if I had gotten a 13 it would be too tight across the top of my foot and too cramped in the toe. I deffinitely recommend going over size on these boots. For me these boots will probably end up as daily wear work boots, but not suited for running or CQB.

Nice boot, nice price.
First. The boots look great. Nice color. When I first put them on, they felt a little weird. (no arch). After my first day of wearing these, my feet were definitely sore. Took a couple of days, then felt, just fine. I do think these make a better hunting boot than a tactical boot. Again, because "no arch". Just my opinion.

Stellar
I bought these for my son who is an ROTC cadet. They arrived in time for him to wear them in the shower so they'd conform to his feet (who knew?) and have them dried in time for a next day ruck and weekend of field training exercises. In 4 days, he put over 23 miles on them and said "I don't even have a single rub mark on my feet. They're awesome." The other boots he'd been issued rubbed his feet raw just wearing them around campus. These saved him. They get our highest recommendation.

Durable boots
Extremely durable boot. Wore them to SFAS and had zero blisters with minimal break-in time. Consistently wear them through long rucks, wet and dry. The toe lacet is snug at first but soon loosens up. Currently have 3 pairs. Infantry approved.

Bad quality management.
The boots would be a 4 star if the left one, where your boot bends while you walk wasn't too tight to the top of the foot. It creates a numbness in my toes that loosening the boots does not help with. I don't know really what to do because I have been wearing them for a few weeks.

Not great boots anymore
Too tight across top of foot. Seam whear tongue attached to the boot rubs top of foot, very uncomfortable, almost painful. Soles have no cushion, very hard rubber. Changed insoles because I wasn't able to get my foot in the boot with them. Way too thick, had to get much thinner insole. They were still too tight. Laces are terrible, wont stay tight. Should have used 550 cord. The older version of this boot and the c4t were great boots, but not these!

You might need different insoles.
I bought these for hiking and hunting. They started to make the balls of my feet sore. I bought different insoles and they were great after that. They still run a little narrow.

A Nice Boot
The day the snow comes will be meet with the Rocky boots, military style. Just put them on and never want to take the boots off. This wide boot has plenty of space for a wide foot; it has a comfortable feel and look fantastic.
