Mega Bloks Monster High Graveyard Garden Party Building Set

I received this set for free to build with my six year old daughter and write a review. We were so excited to try it out, especially with the fun music and glow in the dark pieces. We opened the package and started to build, and lo and behold, pieces were missing!My daughter was very upset but I showed her we could go the website and find replacement pieces or even find a phone number to call and ask for help.I figured out what pieces were missing (a bag may have been left out) and ordered from a convenient website. There was an issue with this but MegaBloks were really quick to help resolve the problem. We received the pieces really fast in the mail and were able to build.The instructions were a stretch for my six year old but by the end she was figuring it all out herself and only need a little bit of help from very excited brothers and parents.I loved that she had a set she wanted to build, it was interesting enough for her brothers to WANT to help, and difficult enough for her to have to try something new. After she built it she has used the pieces for a variety of new projects and loves all of it. I definitely recommend Graveyard Garden Party, Megabloks, AND their Customer Service. I would buy from them anytime after this experience.

I collect building sets that I think look neat, and I felt this one would be a cute, somewhat interactive Halloween decoration. When complete, the outcome is great. However, building this thing was a nightmare, and I'm an adult! Let me make this simple:Pros- The finished toy is relatively sturdy and looks good.- The figures can easily be moved around so that it can be played with.- The dance floor folds up, and purple gates close to hold it in. This makes it easier to store and move.- You can turn the music off.Cons- The directions are often unclear.- I have yet to find a way to stop it from playing music once it starts.MAJOR Cons- Many of the pieces are the same with only slight variations in color, but the colors are so dark, it's hard to tell them apart! They were all mixed together too.- Unlike Lego, you have to open all of the bags containing pieces, which means, for this set, you have over 350 pieces with no apparent logic behind the groupings. I spent almost as much time trying to sort everything into an organized layout I could easily work wi as I did building the thing!- Despite my organizing at the start, pieces are still confusing when building.- The pieces do not always go together easily, so sometimes you have to fiddle with them or press hard. As a result, there were several times when things slipped which usually caused other pieces to fall off.- While most of the finished build is sturdy, the speakers and the roof pieces pop off easily if bumped or pushed against.- The building process was so frustrating, that instead of doing it in one sitting, I had to do it in short sessions over several days. This increased the possibility of pieces becoming lost, which 2 did, and was annoying.Overall, this is not a very good product. If it was difficult for an adult who builds far more complex things, then I believe it would be very frustrating for a child (unless they are avid builders already, and even then I think it would be a pain for them). If I had known how difficult it would be, I would not have bout this set.

My all-time favorite Monster High Mega Blok set. This kit has a light-up disco box that plays 2 tunes. It's just for fun. It is a graveyard disco! Floor goes up and down with open/close gate. Lots of move-able parts and as much fun for any kid to play as it is to build. Fit on a bookshelf perfectly.

Extremely amazing product! Exactly like lego blocks and works with them for future play. My daughter is obsessed with Monster High and this set was fun for me and her to put together. Its the first set she has left put together ever since. The glow and the dark pieces and music for the dance floor definitely makes the product unique. This was well worth the cost

Bought this for my 8 year old for her birthday. Was very fun to put together, But some of the color pieces didnt match up with directions. How ever the correct amount of pieces were there, just had to use a different color block. It plays three different monster high songs. Very nice my daughter is enjoying her new toy.

This was a birthday present for my 6 year old daughter and she loves the set. After she built the thing, her 3 year old brother destroyed it so she used the pieces and started free building. So much fun

I don't recommend this for anyone under age 8 or 9. This has a lot of very small pieces which are easy to misplace. My husband actually works on this for (not with) our kid. It's neat once put together.

I bought this for one of my Granddaughters, for Christmas 2015, as She just loves Monster High Dolls and toys. I was pleased with the quality and fun factor, of this toy. My little Granddaughter had fun with it, at Christmas.
