EK Tools 54-04002 Powder Tool

This product really works. I posted a picture showing on with the antistatic powder and one with out. It makes a world of difference. I did wipe the card stock off with a damp cloth which warped it a little. I do wish the powder came in black. It didn't interfere with the stamping. Wiped off easily. It's worth the money as this dispenser is refillable and makes it easy to put it where it is needed.

This is by far the best anti Static tool I’ve ever used. I like that it has a brush so I don’t end up with power all over my hands like with the little powder “pillows”. This has a cap for the brush when not being used. So there isn’t powder loosely falling out. You have better control of the amount of powder being applied. The brush is lighter and gentler vs rubbing a bag of powder on materials. I’ve used the little Embossing antistatic “pillows”. They tend to lose a lot of powder and can get messy. Once the powder is all gone, it can’t be refilled so you have to purchase another. This tool is easy to refill. All you need is baby powder. Cheaper in the long term refilling vs purchasing replacement products.

Works great when I don't forget to use it! Cap was EXTREMELY hard to pop off in the beginning. It doesn't twist off, just pull or push really hard with your thumb. It will get easier the more you use it. I also use it on my die cutting plates as they get very staticky.

I was debating on how many stars to give this product due to the following reason:PRO: A very useful tool, great brush that brushes on the powder lightly, not overdoing it. Also, the bottom cap screws off making the tool refillable. Great for brushing pages after heat embossingCON:The cap is SO confusing and very difficult to remove...at first. I had to come to Amazon and pore through the user reviews before I found an awesome review that showed you can flip the cap off by pushing on it an angle with your thumb. The cap IS NOT TWIST OFF, as I had originally thought.In all I would give this product a 3.5 star review just for the initial lack of ease in using it and the effort I had to exert in finding out how to take off the cap, which should be a very easy thing to do. Also, in comparison to other EK Success products I have owned, this products use is not as intuitive.

I was going to make my own anti-static tool (a little bag with baby powder). After two attempts (I'm not very good with fabrics) I decided to give up and buy one of those bags online.LUCKILY, my finances didn't allow me to buy one right away!I stumbled upon this tool, read all the reviews, and watched some people use it on YouTube. And it wasn't until someone mentioned that it was easy to refill that I was SOLD! After all, I'd already purchased a bottle of baby powder to make my own anti-static tool!I LOVE this tool. When you put it down it doesn't puff up a cloud of baby powder and get powder on your work surface like those bags do. It's shape is perfect in that the wider base lets you stand it up. The cap attaches securely. And it's refillable!*** HINTS & TIPS ***I've read that a lot of people try to UNSCREW the lid. It's NOT SCREWED ON! You simply put your thumb on the pointy top and push to one side to POP IT OFF!Some people say that it gets clogged. When you are "storing" it, sit it on it's base and gravity will pull the powder down to the storage section. If it gets "clogged" shake it a little and Voila!The BASE unscrews so that you can refill the baby powder or whatever powder you want to use.You may think it's not working because you don't SEE anything on your paper, but it is! Try this test: rub the tool on the back of one of your hands. You may not see anything, but you will smell it (lavender, I believe - very pleasant). This proves that even though you can't see it, it is depositing some of the powder.

This is the best paper crafter tool ever designed, with that being said let me give you some examples: pre-ink wipe off any particles that could alter your imageEmbossing- this is what it is designed for, to remove any grease or finger prints that could cause your powder to stick and ruin your image.Hot foil- use this like crazy to keep your foil from sticking particles on your mediums. Also will help to separate your foils. If you are using the embossing technique, make sure you use this before you lay your foil down. No one likes to scrape up the excess dots! Happy Crafting

I normally read reviews but saw this on a jennifer m. vid and loved it...thinking it would be filled with the same powder from my much loved and unscented embossing buddy from Stampin! Up’ but in an easier to use container...nieve i know but i purchased it. I have MCS and had a bad reaction it seems like it is just scented baby powder! not cool :( ek has the opportunity to expand their market here hint hint! sell the empty bottle and offer scented and UNSCENTED options!!! then noone gets sick everyone gets the nice bottle and for those who can’t live without fragrance in their lives a fragrant option for purchase! But not giving us a heads up on the scent in an age when everyone is going fragrance free for a reason is not cool and was potentially very dangrous for me and others too it sounds like! I gave 3 stars because of the fragrance, lid issue, and bristles do seem like they are cheaper and might be falling out quickly

I watch a lot of scrapbooking videos and a lot of the women use this tool usually on the back of stickers so that they don't stick it's a great little handling tool and you can reuse it over and over again by refilling it with baby powder not too expensive great for scrapbookers

Lo uso cuando el tapete de mi Cameo tiene mucho pegamento y deja pegajosa la superficie del material que corto, me gusta porque se aplica fácilmente gracias a la brochita que trae integrada, y me gusta más que cuando senkenscabe el polvito que trae, lo voy a poder rellenar, yo creo que el talco de bebé puede cumplir con la misma función.

Tenía muchas ganas de comprar este artículo para comprobar si funcionaba también como parecía en los videos y desde luego que funciona. Los polvos de embosing se adhieren correctamente donde se ha situado el pegamento.Es muy recomendable.
