A favorite at our game table
We love this game and play a few nights a week. Great for creative writing students to get the story mojo going and "cure" writer's block. Fun, easy to learn, and there's multiple strategies to master so it doesn't get boring. Lots of different stories to create. We also have the expansion packs now. Great for all ages (who can read). The game tokens are well made and the story boards are thick. Great art on the cards. We did watch some play throughs on YouTube during our first two games, but then everyone had it down. You can play solo, against each other or co-op.

Just buy it!!!
This was a perfect purchase! The Name of the Wind is a wonderful book and these card are beautiful representations of the story and characters. This game and expansion are a staple in our collection! The games are relatively short and setup is a breeze. The game is somewhat simple yet still very engaging!!!

Great Game, but it feels not enough for the price.
I love the King Kille Chronicles(KKC) books, and this game is a nice companion to that. The Call to Adventure(CTA) game is a lot of fun to play. But the cost of this expansion doesn't seem as worth it as say the Stormlight Archive expansion for CTA. Since it is not stand-alone, you have to combine cards you can't just Shuffle the various cards, whip out the instructions and go. If you have CTA, and enjoy it you'll probably like the new mechanics of the expansion. If you are a fan of KKC , picking up CTA and this expansion can be fun. The art is beautiful, and I love seeing the various scenes from the books in this form. If you like CTA and KKC, this expansion is a no brainer.

Love the game, great for solo and group play
This game is great! Getting the expansion was a no brainer for me. I mostly play this solo, because my gaming groups seem far and to many gaps. Lots of fun, build your own story, collect points and beat an end boss. Highly recommend

Good Expansion!
We bought this for our son in law and he loved! Makes a better gift if you have read the Name of the Wind before playing. The addition makes the game a little better because when you lose a challenge you still get a chance of winning something.

It's great for fans of the King Killer Chronicle! If it's not damaged...
It pierced the package and the board was damaged. However, the card was safe and will not be returned.Returning from Japan is a hassle.I will buy another one for viewing at the next opportunity. I love the Kingkiller Chronicle.

Outstanding Story Game
Great family friendly game. Fun to build a back story and fight your way to your destiny. You could use this game to design D&D character origins and history.
