Wild Delight Special Finch Food, 5 lb

The media could not be loaded. Been using this for a couple of weeks and I'm really happy with it. I have at least 3 grey squirrels and 2 black squirrels, which were completely emptying my feeder every 3 days. Now I rarely see them, this week I've gone 2 days without seeing them at all, for first time. If they do have a good at the food, they might have one or pieces and then go away, whereas previously they would sit for 30-40, constantly eating.Two things I was worried about after reading all the reviews: the birds wouldn't like it, and the squirrels would get used to it. First, the birds love it. I'm in NY and get red-bellied woodpecker, Cardinals, blue Jay, chickadee, mourning dove, nuthatch, and sparrows. The woodpecker is my favourite and I'd see it once every few days until I switched to this food; now I see them multiple times every day. The Cardinals seemed unsure at first, but now come back over and over. Second, the squirrels did seem to get used to it - at first they would not touch it and would be visibly uncomfortable. Then they did start to eat the larger peanuts, but they'll just have a couple of pieces then run into the trees and rub their face. They just don't like it. After 2 weeks, I see them maybe once a day for two minutes vs multiple times a day for 30-40 mins at a time. I can live with that!I didn't find it expensive given how long it will last without the squirrels eating it. Nothing else I tried solved the squirrel problem; this appears to have done the trick!And for those who are concerned, it doesn't cause any harm to the squirrels, they don't like it. You can see the reaction in the video - it makes them rub their face and they run away. One squirrel coughed a few times. They are not writhing around in agony. It would be like me eating a chilli, I would not like it and would not do it again but it would cause me any harm. They just clearly don't like it.

This does seem to keep the squirrels out of the bird feeder! I can now watch the cardinals and blue jays eat the food. And the seed last more than a day since squirrels don’t eat it all up.

My wild finches and small birds love this seed! I even have a downy woodpecker repeatedly stop to snack. Today, after the last batch of snow and cold went through the Detroit region, I had over 25 little birds flitting and feeding on my fairly large Finch feeder with another 15 or so birds feeding on the spill over on the surrounding snow. They emptied my feeder of close to half the 5 lbs bag in 6 hours. I have gone through 10lbs of seed in about a week. My poor little feathered friends now have to wait until Tuesday, and over a whole weekend to get their next Amazon delivery of the next two bags. My flock is eating me out of house and home, they love this seed so much! Kind of expensive, but all the birds love it, even the evening cardinals.

My squirrels love this seed. There’s one on the feeder right now eating it. Waste of money.

I've had the same bird feeder for over 10 years and have NEVER seen so many chickadees in & around it at once. They absolutely love it, and the local squirrel hates it! I watched him eat it once, which resulted in him jumping out of the bird feeder onto the porch shaking his head which using his back leg to scratch behind it's ear. And he hasn't been back since 👍🏻

I bought normal seed last Wednesday and it was all gone by Thursday! Every time I looked the feeder had a squirrel chowing down. It has now been 3 days with the spicy feed and not a squirrel to be seen, and the feeder is still have full despite birds now being able to get to the seed. Just what I wanted.

Love this product - Squirrel Away Zero Waste is just - squirrels don't mess with the feeders and my birds get to enjoy this premium blend. Love that there is no mess under my feeder!
