I have a Dell Inspiron 5370 which sports a USB C port and this product works perfectly.I tested it with an HDMI cable, some USB accessories and the power delivery port, and everything works as advertised. I don't get why the description says it requires Thunderbolt - as a matter of fact, the only USB C port on my laptop is NOT thunderbolt, but supports Display Port alternate mode and Power Delivery, so the product works flawlessly anyway.So if your laptop has an USB C port with the DP logo on it feel free to buy this adapter - it should work just fine.

Back in the before time, when we all sat at desks dangerously close to each other, the rest of the office sprang for some Anker USB-C dongles that didn't do as much and cost a little more.I chose this instead.I wanted power.More power than you could imagine.But mostly the ability to pass through power from my charging brick, which this does. I can now power the laptop (Surface Laptop 3) along with a Qi wireless charging pad and a USB Condenser Microphone.All-in-all, top notch, well worth it.Has every port I'd need and more, saved me a few times and really gets rid of desk clutter.

This product is advertised as plug and play but it didn't work immediately. Even now that it's working, I can only get the HDMI and VGA connections to do anything. The USB ports still don't work.I'd send it back, but I only really need it so I can use a second screen on my work laptop and it works fine for that.I was disappointed with this because I expected that I'd be able to plug my mouse and keyboard into it, and not have to unplug them whenever I need to take my laptop to work. I wouldn't recommend this product, it's worth your while to get one of the slightly more expensive ones if you want it to work properly.

This product is not compatible with USB mouse and keyboard, so not really suitable for use with a MacBook Pro. Also pointless having both a VGA and HDMI input on the adapter given that you cannot set up two auxiliary screens on a Mac when they're both going through the same adapter.

It's great product. It does what is supposed to do.Negative points in my opinion are:- it consumes the laptop battery when it's in standby/off, because it has a light that keeps on.- the audio of your earphones cannot be controlled through the laptop volume controls (like when it's connected straight to the laptop). But not a big deal. I assume it was actually designed for sound boxes, which makes sense as the volume controls would be at the boxes.A bit annoying if you use a stand for your laptop as it will be hanging through its wire.PS: I have a Macbook.In general, I'm happy and would buy again if I need another one.

Bought this to act as a port replicator for my Dell Precision 3530 as a more portable alternative to the Dell WD19TB. Worked perfectly without external power (I can charge via Dell power supply) but no reason to think it wouldn't work with an 87W USBC power supply connected. Everything worked fine with the only exception being that the HDMI and SVGA ports when used together only support mirroring and not Extended Display. If I'd read the description properly I'd have known that! :D Unfortunately that means I'll need to return it. It's a really nicely finished product that feels good in the hand as well as looking good.

This has made a colossal difference to working at home. Using this on my tiny work laptop I've been able to connect two other monitors and another via the laptops own HDMI port.I've connected my phone and an external keyboard and been able to download data from a memory card.the only thing it doesn't do compared to the expensive USB C "Brick" we have in the office is charge the laptop. A small price to pay considering this does everything else at a fraction of the cost.

Dex works with the galaxy note 9 but the ports and card readers did not.In the product description it says "Would this work for any laptop with a type c connection?No,it only supports the laptop with thunderbolt 3" BUTI have no idea what thunderbolt 3 is Because it said Dex works on the note 9 I asssumed ports and card readers would work as well.I then bought C to USB adaptor and plugged hub it into my PC so yes the ports do work but not on my smart phone. Maybe at the time of writing note 9 did work but my phone is new with updated andriod so might not be compatable any more. I feel like ive be mislead by the description when it says Dex work on the note 9 only to find ports dont.
