WE HAVE HEAT!!!
We have an older Day & Night Plus 80. Not sure who makes the thing but I think I heard Carrier. At any rate, we'd get nothing but cold air. Based on the behavior of a Goodman furnace at our previous house that needed a flame sensor, I didn't even think that was the problem with this Day & Night dinosaur. But the trouble code that was getting flashed indicated that a flame sensor could be a potential issue. Since it was the cheapest part to try in this case, I tried to figure out which one it needed. This one seemed to be what I could come up with. Saw the price and figured what the heck. Install was straight forward and did not need the extra wire for the install. End result: HEAT! And it's been functioning consistently for a few months now.

Does the job!
I'm not going to explain the whole heater turning off and on, off and on jig since you know why you're here. This is exactly what I needed to replace the one in my furnace. It was super easy, as young female who lives alone and often has to ask dad how to fix stuff, and it took me like a minutes. The sensor itself was all I needed, it comes separately from the...tail part shown in the picture. All I needed to do was pull my old one out of the attachment on the wire, and smash this sucker in and boom, works like a charm. I'd been putting off getting one for like two years but cleaning it was becoming almost a weekly thing. For the price, I could kick myself for not doing it sooner. It was slightly more angled than the old one after I screwed it back into place, I feared it wouldn't work unless directly in the fire, but I haven't had any problems yet.

Works perfectly.
My Payne furnace was firing up, then immediately shutting down. It was also throwing code 34, which was possibly due to the flame sensor. I installed this part and it fired right up and no issues.

Update on last review.
I have had this item in my Carrier furnace model 58PAV for 10 months....but 7 months my furnace was off due to warmer months. Since I have recently turned my furnace on for about the last 2.5 months I find I have to clean this item at least every 3 days or my furnace kicks on and off. May also be the electrical connector that is faulty Can't return because return date expired ! Not worth purchasing. Bought a new one from another company.

As advertised
Not much to say. It is a pierce of wire surrounded by ceramic material that is inserted into the flame. I bought it as a spare
