I like the fact that the cup is collapsible - very handy when travelling. Less favourable is the length of time that the drink stays hot.

I thought very carefully before buying this travel mug, because I don't have much use for one, but at the same time, I have in the past ended up with disposable cups and wanted to avoid them in the future. On the other hand, I didn't want a heavy mug in my bag like a stainless steel mug, which are heavy and take up a lot of room.I am pleased with how small it folds up, but it's heavier than I expected! The silicone feels good and thick though, so perhaps this is the trade off for saving space.It is definitely leak proof as long as you screw on the lid tight. The little hole in the lid means when you're drinking out of it there isn't a vacuum so the cup doesn't get sucked in, again, I like that.I don't like the plastic ring that goes around the outside of the mug to protect you're hand from the heat because it's barely wide enough for my skinny hand to hold without touching the actual silicone, although to be fair, I haven't burnt my hand on it because the silicone is pretty thick, as I said. Also the plastic ring keeps sliding off which is infuriating.I don't know if I bought the best mug. It has a plastic lid and the plastic ring, and I have done a bit of reading which says even silicone can give off bad chemicals, although tiny in compassion with regular plastic types. But since I won't be using it regularly, I'm not going to waste the mug, I will keep it until it breaks or I lose the plastic ring (which will probably be the sooner of the two).
