Nice book
This is a nice book with good description about the Dalai Lama's childhood and an effective message about sowing the seeds of compassion in our hearts to create a sense of oneness among us all and make the world a better place for us all. My kids and I loved reading this book and plan to read again in few weeks.

Great book for everyone
This book is great for both kids and adults. Nice color illustrations and quality printing. The message from HHDL is that of compassion - generally applicable to everyone, including those of any (or no) religion. Perhaps a little too wordy for the very young kids, but they will like the page with animals inside. A strong recommend!

Compassion for kids/adults made in the USA
I am a mother of 2 kids, and my son is in 2nd grade. This books is not too long or shot but enough to teach them the pearls of compassion and wisdom for a child. I found the storyline something deeper as an adult to appreciate. I look forward to sharing this book with other parents or grandparents in the future. The book's art work is from a local artist and made in the USA.

Beautifully written by His Holiness
I would recommend this book for children as well as adults. His Holiness not only helps kids and adults understand he was a normal child despite his great purpose in the world being the Dalai Lama. Well written and the message of compassion is easy and relatable for readers of all ages. The illustrator did an excellent job of capturing the essence of this story and conveying the warmth His Holiness radiates.

Glimpse of the Dalai Lama's life
I, the adult, thoroughly enjoyed this book. For those wishing to introduce this historical figure to children it's a great entry point with stories of his life and great pictures .It distills to its essence what the Dalai Lama sees as his most important job. A great book for classroom reading for Social Studies topic or for the parent who wishes their child to understand world religions.

A great way to learn about compassion for children of all religions (or none)
A story that captivated our children and is really about planting the seeds of compassion rather than a particular religon. Recommended.

The Seed of CompassionLessons from the Life and Teachings of his Holiness The Dalai LamaBy His Holiness Dalai LamaIllustrated by Bao LuuDo you know the name of Dalai Lama? If yes, comment below( without using Google Guru)This book is equally enlightening for kids and for parents. While reading this book I realised the first half is very engaging for a 4 year old and the second half for me.This story is of Dalai Lama right from his childhood when he was just 3 till date and how compassion is deeply rooted within him and he strongly believes that it is an evidently strong feeling more in little children. They really don’t need to develop it because they have it already. This book also talks about the beautiful relationship of a mother and her son and how important a role each mother has in their child’s life not only in the growing up age but also in adulthood. This book very subtly brings out the beauty of nature in the mountains. It talks about why humans are the most superior creation of God.It helps children and adults identify that compassion is not a destination it is a journey. This book is a gem each book lover should own.

It is great for children and adult to read this book to cultivate compassion at early stages or later stages in life to do better or become a better human being. It motivates kindness towards others (all species and environment). Give this as a gift for someone you love and they'll definitely cherish it. It like a gift that keeps on giving. Perfect gift!!!
