This arrived rancid. Examining the label, we discovered it was harvested over 10 years ago. We contacted the seller and they didn't care. They said that the oil doesn't go bad and was within the "best by" date. As a frequent buyer of oil, it's important to look for oils harvested within a year or two. Ten years is too long. Plus, it was clearly rancid. We were told it could not be returned, being a food product. Any benefit from being organic is negated by its extreme age. Being organic, there is nothing to prevent spoiling, so age is very important. It is ridiculous to claim that it is still "best by" 14 years on the shelf. It has a disgusting smell and taste.

I love the transparency of this company, and their backstory is charming. The olive oil tastes divine. It’s smooth, flavorful, not pungent, it is versatile and can be used with cooking or drizzled as a dressing over veggies or a salad. I utilized this olive oil to make a couscous salad and a caprese salad, it added so much subtle flavor. There is a depth of richness but not sickeningly so. I am a loyal customer, and you certainly get a lot of oil for a reasonable price given the good reputation of this company. Thank you for keeping it affordable!
