I truly enjoyed using za’atar spice from Spicewalla on a variety of dishes, used in cucumber salad, added to homemade hummus, used in lemon olive oil dressing for marinades for fish, lamb, chicken, vegetarian dishes such as chick pea and roasted vegetable stews, even added a zip to my morning avacado and egg toast. The tin make it easy to store and it stays fresh for a truly extended length of time. It was very hard to fine this spice here in rural South Carolina even in the so-called specialty stores so I was very happy that their whole selection is available on Amazon. Also their collections make an amazing gift for newlyweds, or aspiring cooks. Great value and selections.

This is only my 3rd or 4th time of using Za’atar for cooking so I’m still new to it. However, the specific blend of ingredients that Spicewalla uses is so pleasing that I’ll buy theirs from now on. The sumac, thyme and cumin are especially pleasant — almost comfort-foods — and how can anything go wrong with white sesame in it? I’m using it on chicken thighs right now and will make some stew and soup this weekend. Looking forward to it!

seems like a nice blend of spices, but not what I was hoping for. I am not used to cumin in za'tar. Thought it would be interesting to try, but the cumin completely over powers the smell and flavor of the blend. The tin was full. No skimping.

This Zaatar came packaged in a lovely tin and is extremely fresh with a delicious aroma and flavor. I bought it to use on homemade socca flatbread, but have added it to many other dishes when I want a punch of flavor.

This is such a wonderful spice blend to have in your kitchen. So good mixed with olive oil for dipping bread or sprinkled on roasted veggies.

Great presentation. My tin currently won't stay closed because they packed so much spice in it. Just know this tin is LARGER than the tins sold in sets. I got it to complete the set I purchased, but it's much bigger than all my other tins!

Recently on a trip to Asheville a friend had this za'atar at dinner and once I tasted it I had to get my own tin! This spice mix is so flavorful and fresh! I am unable to eat garlic or onions and it's become a wonderful replacement bagel topping. We also sprinkle it over veggies before roasting and use it on hummus and yogurt dips, it's even great on eggs. Highly recommended.
