Barrington Hardwoods Black Walnut Turning Blank Squares - 1.5" x 1.5" (4 Pieces) (1.5" x 1.5" x 8")

Buying 6/4 or 8/4 stock for table legs is not economical so I buy from Barringtons. If you need quality hardwood buy from them, It's all top-notch milled.

Got these for some high end furniture repair, to gusset some corners. Perfectly square and made from clean lumber, no checks, knots or imperfections.

Very nice word color

The wood is good quality and would be good for turning if it was square and straight. The four pieces I received where very different in color. I find it hard to believe people are buying these blanks for different projects or to spin pens. I suspect they are like me wanting to build a single project with all four pieces. I recommend putting a little more effort into your job when selecting the wood.

Used this wood for the handle on a damascus Ulu that I finished. Wood sanded well and took an excellent finish

I am really impressed by the quality of these turnings. I ordered the 1.5" x18" 4 pack. Good sizing, nice price, NOT wax coated (I hate that as I don't always end up turning the pieces), and the ones I received were solid heartwood. No knots, dents, or any other visible defects, natural or caused by handling. Absolutely fantastic. Will most likely be ordering more.

Just started getting into wood turning. There aren’t a bunch of options close to where I live besides big box stores so I figured I would sample some on Amazon. Quality of cut was nice. Measurements were right. Everything went smooth.
