SPECIFICATION -- Output Power: <5 mW -- Laser Class: IIIA -- Laser Wavelength: 632 to 650 nm -- Battery Type: AG3/LR41 -- Range for Sighting: 15 to 100 yds -- Dot Size: 2 in @100yd -- Operation: on/off end cap -- Operating Temp: F/C 14 to 122 / -10 to 50 F/C CAUTION -- Be sure that your firearm is unloaded and pointed in a safe direction before attempting to insert the boresighter. -- Do not dry-fire your firearm while the boresighter is inserted. And insert the 3 AG3/LR41 batteries (9mm only require 2) into the battery negative end first. 2.Be certain that the batteries are all facing in the proper direction to ensure proper function of your boresighter. 3.As the bore sight doesn’t have the on/off switch, please remove the batteries after using. HOW TO ZERO YOUR FIREARM? 1.Set your firearm in a gun vise or other stable platform so that it does not move. 2.Insert your boresighter fully into the empty chamber. And sight in your firearm at any desired distance that the laser is visible (25 yards is recommended). 3.Align your firearm so that the laser is centered on the bull’s eyes. 4.Adjust your scope (according to the manufacturers specifications) so that the reticle of the scope matches with the laser and bull’s-dyd alignment. 5.Remember to remove the batteries of your bore sight to preserve the battery life, and store in a cool, dry place.

You need a way to make sure this is chambered accurately. It is different almost every time.
Each time I chambered this device it pointed to a different location. I contacted the seller and they said this was normal. I wanted to use this to sight in my mounted laser, but it is not accurate or consistent. I guess if you can chamber this device and it looks close to your iron sights it could be used to adjust your laser sight. I would return this but it gets dinged up when you have to keep taking it out and putting it in. The concept is good. I just cannot use it for what I wanted.

Great boresight laser but...
I bought three of these in three different calibers, and although they work very well, I'm going to take an entire star off because there is *no way to turn them off.*You literally have to remove the battery to turn off the laser as they don't have an off switch. This becomes a pain if you want to store them as you have to store the batteries with them.

Useless !!!
This was useless on a AR with 16” barrel and had the same results when trying to use it in my rem 700 223 I got the combo kit that came with the 9mm and 223 the 9mm worked in my AR 9 but I think it’s because it only has a 4.5” barrel I wouldn’t recommend to anyone it had fast shipping it got one star.

Laser was bouncing off inside of barrel, when I went to remove, bolt carrier got stuck.
Laser was bouncing off inside of barrel, when I went to remove, bolt carrier got stuck. to the point I needed help getting bolt open. Cost me more time and money than just sighting it in by eye. Also had to bother my gunsmith and my wallet.

Badly off center
I’m not one to write reviews, but after a couple recent amazon orders. I’m compelled. This boresight was really affordable and seeing as how simple (how could they mess up something so simple) I figured I could save money. “It’s only ten bucks”.Problem is as simple as it is they messed it up. It’s completely off center.Tried rotating it. Closest I could get was 1/4 inch off at 16 inches.

9mm okay. 223 no go
The 9mm sized bore sight fit well but the laser would consistently be low and left. Close enough to get near/on paper. I'm satisfied with the 9mm.However,The .223 would get stuck and needed to be pushed out with a cleaning rod. The laser would come out as a blob or a streak and never a clear dot
