Motiv Venom Shock Bowling Ball

I’ve had this ball for 4 years now. It’s always useable on fresh. Sometimes I might have to be a little more right than I like but can play a nice 11 to 6 with it. Really it shines on semi broken down lanes as it’s hard to make this ball really jump if you’re able to control your release and speed. When it breaks down I don’t have to dive super deep. Very rarely do say to myself I need something weaker than the shock, mainly because it’s so controllable. I have an old nexxus pearl and an arson low flare that I bring out when the lanes get to be super burnt.I have pin pal and track all my games. I’ve averaged 236 with this ball about 10 pins over my running average in that time span. I have had it baked twice and it’s still never stopped having a very predictable arc and I can almost always say “I’d be alright” if it’s the only ball I bring out.4 years from purchase tonight I shot 782 on a late night league that had a burnt up pattern. Played the two lanes 4 boards different with the Shock due to conditions being noticeable worse on the left lane. Didn’t miss the pocket once. Needless to say I’m buying another one of these balls and storing it the basement for drilling in the future.For more reference I’m usually throwing this ball between 18-19 mph and 390-450rpms, tracked with SPECTO.

Holy hell what a ball. Punched this one up pin down and this thing just rolls for days. It hits harder than anything else in my bag and that includes a Storm Sure Lock. I dunno, this ball may have converted me to Motiv products moving forward.It's perfect for a THS shot (dry-medium oil) shot a 700 on the nose first series. I used it on some heavier oiled lanes and it didnt move as much but it did ok. Wasn't unusable. Looks amazing rolling down the lanes. Big fan so far.

I was the one to blame for not throwing strikes at first. Spares? No problem. 10 pin? Just throw a good shot.However, I learned that if I stand all the way left, aim at the 17-20 boards and crank it. It will strike every single time

The first ball I received was damaged. I emailed Glc and they responded very fast. I returned the damaged ball and they shipped me another. This time it was perfect. This ball is amazing and the customer service is excellent.

I am very happy with the performance of this ball and my average has climbed in the month I have owned this ball. My season average is 186, but I have averaged 193 with this ball. There have been a bunch of shots made that I would never have made with my old ball. It seems like my strike percentage has gotten way better and any shots I miss are on me, not the ball. I have been league bowling for many years and threw my new high game of 269 with this ball, 10 strikes in a game!!! I have no problem getting this ball to hook into the pocket. I use this ball for all shots and can also throw it straight to pick up a ten pin when needed. I was not aware that this ball was scented and has a lemon(ish) scent.

I use this for tricky split spares in heavy oil and it works great in 12lbs. I typically throw a 16lb strike ball so my advice is my opinion. It will absolutely send the messanger pin across when needed. Softer outer core so clean and sand it regularly. I use 600 grit wet/dry with rubbing alcohol.
