The Land of Stories: A Treasury of Classic Fairy Tales Audio CD – Unabridged, October 18, 2016

WOW! SO WONDERFUL!! This is the best Fairytales book I have always wanted to have. Magical pictures, very bright and colorful. The font is amazing for my 7 yr old to read. The pages are so smooth. He loves to read and listen every night. I wish it had pictures on the very first page where the stories begin. The stories are orignal without any twist. The best fairytale book . A must buy! I had ordered 2 months ago and got it before it was even in the stores. My son has been so thrilled with it ever since. Love the pictures❤️❤️❤️

This book has stories that are not for kids. Rapunzel in this book apparently has a boy sneaking in her room every week. ( doing only what you can imagine a a teenager doing with a boy, in secret) when her mom ‘witch’ finds out and blinds the boy, and cast rapunzel out into the woods and they some how find each other. Rapunzel heals his eye sight and he can magically see his twin children. What? What a weird twist. Rapunzel ends up pregnant of course and he is so happy he decides to marry her....yeah my kids will pass.

My four year old loves the stories Chris Colfer has compiled in this book. We are also big fans of the Land of Stories Series. This is my third time purchasing the book because one of our dogs loves it a little more than my four year old, and he has eaten it twice. My favorite thing is that it isn't just the Brother's Grimm or Hans Christian Anderson or whatever, it's a combination of all of the stories and nursery rhymes I grew up knowing and loving. It's well written, engaging and delicious (according to the dog). An unbeatable combination!

Interesting versions of classic fairytales. Some inferences into character’s motivations and thoughts and feelings made by version author that I’m not sure how they fit in with the original, and sometimes they blatantly don’t, like Cinderella worrying about marrying a man she just met, which is not a bad perspective to add, but if you are looking for straight up traditional fairy tales, look elsewhere. The book itself is beautiful and has some lovely and detailed illustrations and some that are disturbing. My book arrived with the corners dented and I had no time to return it because it was a gift otherwise I would have sent it back.

This book has all the stories we remember as children. I bought this for my 6 year old daughter. But after looking through this, I am going to purchase another as a keepsake/treasury. I’m sure this book will become of great value because it’s so rare to find all these stories together in one place. Another collection of these same stories in the mini books was over $500. This is great value!

This is a beautiful book and a must have for your collection of Colfer's books. It's tons of fun to read the stories included in here especially since they go so well with his book series

If I could give it 6 stars, I would. I was amazed at the size, weight and overall look of this book. It has sooooo many of the children stories that have been around, forever. We have a 5 year old nephew and he loves to read. I hope we have many days to share the stories that we grew up with, but still just as good today. Yes, don't wait! Order today.

I love Chris colfer’s books. I was excited to add this one to our library. However I wish there were more pictures, and I wish it had been HIS version of the fairy tales in a kids fairytale book edition. I wanted stories I could read to my toddlers that were his interpretation and could keep a toddlers attention.

My kids love these stories--and I appreciated the chance to share these classics. well written in a fun and easy-to-read way. kept my 7yr old interested throughout.

Love chris colfer's writing. Is a very good edition to anyone's book shelves. Love reading all the classic fairy tales. Very magical.
