The Nalgene Trident wise mouth bottle is a staple in the outdoors. The bottle pretty much speaks for itself, so I’m using this review as a testimony for its quality after years of use. Here’s my story: After 20 years, my first Nalgene Trident bottle broke. It took a fall at 18mph onto pavement to cause a small crack to form a few years ago, and another accidental drop onto concrete to cause that crack become a fracture rendering the bottle useless. Being stored in a car, having hot liquids in it, and age may have caused the plastic to become brittle over time. No worries, I got plenty of use out of it! Over those TWO DECADES of heavy use, I’ve gone through a couple lids as they tend to break from my carabiner or just get nasty. Replacement lids and other accessories are readily available in outdoor/sporting goods stores and even some big box retailers, and of course here on amazon. If you need something to fit your bottle for your adventure, you’ll be able to find it not far away from your trail/camp/home etc. I love the quality of these products so much that every one of our five children took some of their first sips out of a nalgene trident style sippy bottle (yes, they make them, and they are of the highest quality). My son’s scout bottle is a glow in the dark nalgene trident that doubles as a lantern and helps him find it in the dark when camping with the troop. The basic minimalist design is perfect; no extras that are unnecessary for basic hydration and water carrying needs. I also have appreciated the range of accessories made to fit the Trident bottle. My minimalist carry setup is a molle pouch on a belt (also has a sling). The bottle fits inside a glacier cup with folding handles. While I have not personally used my bottle over a stove to heat water, I’ve been told that it is possible. I use my nested glacier cup for that. The markings wore off my bottle years ago, but when they were there I used the bottle for measuring ingredients for camp cooking. Hope this anecdote of two decades of use provides some insight into the long-term durability of these products.

This water bottle is great! I've been drinking at least a gallon of water a day, and drinking out of this makes it seem a little easier. I try to drink 2 of these before noon, and the other 2 in the afternoon...you've got a gallon. I like that it has oz&ml's marked too. It has a wide mouth, so I can easily toss in 1/2 of a lemon (without having to jam it through the mouth). Heck, you could fit an entire lemon in there! The top is securely attached to the bottle, so it's nice for me, so I'm not misplacing it. It's sturdy, BPA free, dishwasher safe, and it says it's guaranteed for life. Doesn't get better than that! I guess my only complaint is that it doesn't have a spout to drink from. It makes it a little harder to have a sip while exercising, but it doesn't bother me enough to take off a star. I was even shocked that this fit in the cup holder on the cardio machine @ the gym I use. If you're looking for a good water bottle that is sturdy, and holds a lot...this is your best bet. I bought more than 1!

These have been our favorite water bottles to purchase and have lasted the longest. We did have the lid loop snap on one last year but we have had them for I think 2+ years. My child went as far as standing on one, once to prove their durability. They get dropped quite often. The size is good. Never had any leak issues as long as they are closed completely which is good cause them seem to get left on the floor and kicked sometimes. These are my go to and will buy more if anything happens to the 3 we currently have but so far all three are still working even though they are scratched from drops.

I like the size. It is durable and easy to clean. My one issue is the mouth hole. I end up spilling water on myself multiple times a day. I also tip it over a lot and haven’t gotten into the habit of closing the lid. Due to its size (which I love) and insane amount of water then cascades onto whatever unsuspecting surface is nearby. I gave it four stars because I’m willing to chalk my issues up to user error. I will try to handle it less like I am a toddler. Also it does not fit in any cup holders.

Gourde / pot de stockage / verre doseur. Les possibilités de ces gourdes sont variées, stockage d'eau, nourriture, même d'affaires de petites tailles... Le produit me paraît solide et étanche, j'entends par là que l'eau n'en sort pas. L'eau n'entre pas, si son but devient le stockage de nourriture sèche tel que des féculents, de la farine. Possibilité de doser les aliments et l'eau. Grande embouchure, pratique pour le remplissage, autant pour l'eau que pour les aliments. À voir dans le temps si cela résiste toujours. Facile d'entretien, grâce à son ouverture large. C'est un produit qualitatif, made in USA. Le prix est un peu élevé quand même... Mais il est justifié, j'attends de voir sur le long terme si la qualité reste la même, mais le produit est fort qualitatif et a l'air durable. Acheté en différentes contenances, pour différents usages. Je recommande ce produit à toutes personnes qui recherchent une gourde polyvalente, résistante et pratique.

Après plus de 5 ans de bons et loyaux service, je la change malgré le fait qu'elle pouvait encore servir (juste la languette qui tient le bouchon qui a lâché, après plusieurs années de maltraitance). Cette gourde est indestructible, je les utilisé dans toutes les conditions et le rapport qualité prix est imbattable. Je vais racheter la même marque mais pour question de praticité et d'utilisation personnelle je vais m'orienter vers le modèle avec un plus petit goulot (même si le grand goulot a ses avantages, notamment si vous avez besoin de recueillir facilement de l'eau dans des endroits compliqué, ce qui m'est déjà arrivé en randonnée)
