make marvellous mushy peas
I just soak them in boiling water and bicarbonate of soda the night before I need them then cook them in boiling slightly salted water the following day and there has good as any chippy peas and a fraction of the cost and they cook quickly

Perfect In Soups & Stews
These are perfect in soups and stews and very healthy to eat. Apart from the flavour and thickening properties, they are also high in protein and fibre too. Because they have a lengthy preparation time before you can actually cook a meal with them I find it's best to soak about half the bag in hot water for about two hours, strain and then cook them on their own for 10mins in fresh water in the pressure cooker. I then strain thoroughly, cool completely and then freeze them in an air tight bag. This way they are in the freezer to just take a cupful whenever I make a soup or stew, I always do this with not only these but chick peas and all sorts of dried beans too. It never fails, when your freezer supply starts running out you just prepare the other half of the bag. Highly recommend this product.

Expensive and not that special
Used for stew and the first time they were as hard as bullets, I bought Bicarb for the second batch and they were much better. Many of the peas were broken, some were discoloured and certainly nowhere near the quality I expected for the price.I will not buy again
