Teacher-Friendly Book
My co-teacher and I purchased this little book for our 2nd grade students. We love it! It helps us teach cursive without the lengthy pages that take forever to review and correct. We give the students a smiley face if they are rewarded a sticker. We let the students choose their own sticker to put on their chart and they love this. We also love that the capital and lowercase letters are presented on the same page. The only thing I would like to see added is on the sticker reward chart on the back of the front cover. It would be great if the letters or page numbers could be printed in the boxes. Students could then check back to see if there was something for which they did not receive a sticker and they could practice that. I wrote them in mine, but it was time consuming. We will definitely buy these books again next year.

normal cursive forms!
I took a long time searching for a cursive writing book that actually formed the letters correctly (as I remember learning them). This one has the little 'curl' that starts each letter - which is how the letters join, so I don't understand why so many other books leave it out. The letters are properly curled and slanted unlike for example Handwriting Without Tears where a lot of them go straight up. There are no weird loops in the 'b' and 'o' that I saw in other books. What I don't like about it is: how the Q is formed. You can see on the cover it looks like a Q instead of a 2. There's a blue version of this book called modern cursive handwriting that from the looks of it (I didn't purchase it as it would have taken too long to arrive) the only difference seems to be the Q. So that was easily fixed with white-out.I also don't like the progression of letters. It goes in ABC order instead of grouping similarly formed letters together and going from easy letters to hard letters. For that reason we are using this book together with Handwriting Without Tears which does teach the letters that way. My daughter first looks in her HWO workbook to see which letter she's learning, then practices it in this one, then does the page for that letter in the HWO book. It's crazy that there's no 'perfect' workbook with properly formed letters and the progression of letters the way that makes sense, but this is the solution I've come up with.

Great Book for Teaching Cursive!
My 8 year old twins are working through this book right now and are really enjoying it! They are going into third grade next year and are at the perfect age and skill level to be able to successfully learn and improve their cursive skills! Highly recommend this book! I love that there are arrows with each letter to show how it is to be written properly. My kids love the reward stickers (great incentive for each day)! :)

Very nice little workbook...
I bought this for my son to work on over the summer since schools in TX have decided not to teach cursive anymore. I have no idea why except that the state would rather force teachers to spend 90% of the year teaching kids to take tests than to help them write nicely and read historical documents. Regardless, this little workbook is a great way for your child to self-teach a useful skill and makes for a nice break between rounds of marathon Minecraft building, lol. The lessons are clear, give them adequate opportunity to practice, and help them with connecting and letter formation.

Perfect first cursive book!
I purchased this for my kindergartener who wants to learn cursive. I love it! I like that the first pages cover basic needed shapes/form for letters. Then each letter has its one page for tracing and free writing of that letter. My favorite part is the blend pages! She is focusing on blends for reading so I love that she’ll be able to focus on them as she writes too! It’s a very well planned/designed book for early learners

Great for homeschoolers!
We use this with our homeschooled 7 year old, who is mastering cursive. We have him do just 2 pages per day. This allows him to not feel overhwlemed with a load of work, but also gives him the ability to focus on practicing his cursive. This book is really versatile and could be used with many different scenarios, but that is how we use it.

Homeschool Must Have
If you have decided to Home School you must have this book. The only book I have seen on the market that teaches correctly where the lowercase letters have a front and back tail. DO NOT get those cheap books from 5 Below or Dollar Stores. This is the real deal. Worth it with all the extra practices.

It’s used
I had to erase some kid scribble on one page. I’m not too happy a puppy that.

Cursive is important
Bought this for my 11 year old that was upsetthey don’t teach this in school anymore. Used mostly as a guide not as a workbook. For younger kiddos the workbook aspect would be fantastic!

Very helpful workbook
As a homeschool mom and a tutor I use this workbook regularly to review and reinforce concepts with my students. Appreciate the layouts and clean pages and the systematic build to the level of the work.
