Roland Nonpareille Capers are 5-7 mm in diameter. They are green/gray in color. The caper is the flower bud of a low growing bush found in mediterreanean countries. It is cured in brine and packed in vinegar. This size is also packed in the traditional green glass jar. Greek, Spanish and Italian chefs use capers in a wide variety of recipes. Capers are now also being used in "American" dishes such as meat loaf and tuna fish salads. The drained weight is 2oz. per jar. Roland Capers are used right out of the jar, for both hot and cold dishes.
