Kershaw Static Cleaver Pocket Knife, 2.8 Inch Blade, Manual Open Every Day Carry (3445)

This knife is sharp and has held an excellent edge throughout a variety of uses. I work in the field and this has been my go to utility knife for a little over a year. It feels good when using it and is easy to keep a grip even in wet conditions. This is definitely not the lightest of pocket knives but for the durability and function I highly recommend it!

The cleaver shape of the blade looks kinda gimmicky, but its actually pretty darn useful on a knife of this size and intended use. Blade came sharp, and the QC is fine for this Chinese-produced knife (blade well centered, hinge and lock engage positively and manipulated easily). You'll likely spend a decent amount of time wiping down the satin finish on the blade, because it collects fingerprints and other marks easily. The 8Cr13MoV steel speaks for itself; some folks spend their lives explaining to people how cheap and crappy 8Cr13MoV is, while others just sharpen it when necessary and buy another knife when it fails. For this price, the steel is fine. It is a cool little knife, and would make a cool gift. If this were gonna be my only everyday pocketknife, I'd buy something else. If I'm throwing it in a box with a dozen other 3-inch folders, then buy this guy. Recommended.

I love Cleavers and have a ton of them so when I seen this one come out I figured for $35.00 I’ll give it a shot I see I got it on sale because it’s $42 + now but let me say it’s well worth it. I wasn’t expecting much for the price but I have to say it’s really really nicely done the blade is shave you sharp out of the box and it looks great. I love the big finger choil you get a full grip on it and the jimping on the top of the blade makes you feel really locked in and great for skinning pairing or widdeling. The handle fit and Finish is damn near perfect really nicely done also. I also love the deep carry pocket clip it rides perfectly in the pocket just enough sticking out to get a good purchase on it to get it out. I love this as a great little pocket carry EDC knife. It’s definitely a lot nicer than I had expected. Great little knife. Well done Kershaw.

Knife opens easily with assisted spring. Very good quality, good value for price. Good fit in the hand. I am well pleased with Kershaw tools.

I absolutely love Kershaw knives. Literally, if I was to ever have a son (I'm not), I would name him Kershaw... I had originally bought the kizer knife version before this one came out, because I had been wanting a good cleaver pocket knife... when this one came out, I immediately bought it. I've carried it for a few weeks now everyday. My biggest complaint is, its 'stuck' closed almost everytime I want to open it. I cant use the back flipper at all. I have to pull on the blade and can actually feel a slick tick and then the blade is fine to open. Im truly taking this as to be a single knife issue... because out of the dozen or so Kershaw knives that I own, this is the only one that had any type of issue like that. I will say, the Kizer version blows this one out of the water, but it costs significantly more as well. If my little flaw is just a one off occurrence, this knife is worth its weight in gold... if it's a design flaw, it may very well be my last ever Kershaw.

Very sturdy knife with very solid lock mechanism. I have big hands and like that my index finger can go in the blade notch; essentially makes for a longer handle if your hand needs that. Blade has stayed sharp so far. Knife seems very well made. Would be lighter if handle were aluminum. But frame and handle are one piece so must be steel for strength.

Wanted a pocket cleaver because I thought they looked interesting. Bought this one along with the Gerber cleaver and some other odd sounding brand that starts with a J. The Kershaw is by far my favorite. Sharp, smooth opening and closing, and about the perfect size for edc. The Gerber is larger and thicker. It would be better fitted for a camping trip where you need something larger and thicker.

My son loved it. He collects knives. This one is his favorite one today.

Honestly when I got this to begin with I was kinda worried about the size but my God have I been proven wrong. This is the number one tool I carry with me everywhere I go outside the house, inside I have a spiderco black mamba or a gmascus petrified fish or a Copperfiber supersteel baby all of which aren't really things you take with you outside the house you know? They are for where your heart belongs but, and here comes the but... when you go out... you don't take your prized possession, you take the tools to get the bloody job done and done right the first time. After all that rabbiting on, when I use this guy, he slices well because of the profile but honestly because of the tip it just works well. It doesn't wobble or play side to side and it's cheap enough that when I eventually bash this guy to pieces I can get a new one. It has things on it that I'd expect on a much higher end model but for right now the quality is just eight for a work tool that I'm happy to take anywhere in my pocket. Im new to reviewing stuff so sorry if I mess this stuff up or talk too much on the wrong topic but I have only reviewed the things that are worth getting again in my opinion, everything is worth trying in my opinion if you had all the money in the world but this is something that I would actively seek out to get again

Se siente muy sólida, de buen material, es ligera, la apertura es muy suave, no requiere esfuerzo al igual que para cerrarla, viene con buen filo podría mejorarse pero en general y para el día a día es un muy buen filo, la recomiendo ampliamente
