Received timely, and the entire book of scores were in near perfect condition.

NUMBERING FOR FINGERS

This is a wonderful edition. The binding is adequate and if you work with it the pages will stay open without causing them to come out. Some fingering indications are helpful but an experienced player will use their own. This is not an Ertex edition but at this price it is splendid. YouTube has all the information you need if you want more instruction. I am looking forward to ordering vol.1 after I learn some of my favorites like Hammerklavier and the 3rd movement of the Tempest!

I bought all the Beethoven Sonatas. What isn't in this collection are the notes that are in the individual Sonata publications. That is a bummer! Also, the font is larger which means more page turns. It isn't bad, but I was used to the individual smaller font and less turning. Oh well...had I realized the situation, I wouldn't have given my copy to a student! It does lay pretty flat for that much music. I hope the binding doesn't break after a few years. ALL Hal Leonard Publishing piano books FALL APART after a while and I'm always extremely annoyed. LOL I know, there are worse things to worry about.

I already had Volume One of this collection and it's very nice. The print is clear and sized well, with helpful fingerings. The book is bound nicely and the pages stay in place pretty well without a lot of fuss. A quick response from the seller and quality was as advertised. I wouldn't hesitate to buy from them again.

These books, Vol 1 and Vol 2, replaced a much older Schenker set of Beethoven's piano sonatas that wore out! My wife, a classical pianist, adores Beethoven, and played and played and played the sonatas to the point where all the pages were falling out of the books.Seeing this, I offered to replace the books (aren't I nice) and for only about $32 she has nice new ones again. (Though it was sad consigning the worn-out books to the recycle bin.)If you want to play the sonatas, the Schenkers are the definitive set, the standard. Buy them and you’ll be delighted if you are a pianist, and equally delighted if you are the audience (like me).

The sheet music is arranged to minimize number of pages per movement. For example, the first movement of the moonlight sonata is covered on three pages without affecting readability. In fact sight reading is easier as left and right hand notes are printed wilt less spatial distance.

Pase de las ediciones Urtext a las de Dover porque los librs son perfectos para atril. El papel es satinado de buena calidad y con los años no se pone amarillo como otros muchos libros. Esta edicion de las sonatas de Beethoven en dos tomos es ideal para estudio, libros que se apoyan facil y duran mucho tiempo. Tengo el Volumen dos desde hace mas de 10 años usandolo muchisimo.

ottima edizione... peccato che 1) non ci siano note introduttive alle varie sonate 2) il libro non si apra bene
