Embrace Microwave Heating Pad - Cordless Weighted Shoulder Heating Pad with Lavender Aromatherapy for Neck and Shoulder Pain Relief, Comfort, and Relaxation

Purchased only five months ago, but this wrap has become an integral part of my days. I sincerely love it. After a long day in front of the computer, or staring down at my phone, I put this on my neck, or head, or eyes. During my cycle, I lay it on my chest or belly or feet and take a nap. Stubbed my toes reallly hard, put it on. It heats up nicely and holds its heat, it’s ridiculously soft, snuggly even, it’s nicely weighted, it really blows away all of the other microwavable heating pads I have ever used or wrapped around my neck. It’s the only one I have had that I will reheat 2 or 3 times to keep it going. It’s extra large size is just necessary to treat a nice big area of the body for warmth, and comfort, and pain relief. It also smells like lavender yes, but it is not overpowering, light enough scent. You know, I don’t have a cat anymore or a dog, and this is really good for people who don’t have a pet to snuggle with when they don’t feel well… You can heat it up and snuggle with it like a warm-bodied pet-substitute! Maybe ideal for elderly, those in hospital, care facility, etc. I’m thinking about getting one for several family members who are suffering with aches and pains and I’d highly recommend it. I thought it was indulgently expensive, but five months in, am really delighted it’s here.

I wish I could give it 4.5 stars!It warms the back of the neck, and indeed, the entire neck quite nicely!Feels great.I wish there were more warming beads over the tops of the shoulders.Still, it does a decent job there.This thing really shines elsewhere. Because the cloth is built in, and you don't have to put a cloth between it and your skin, you can put on small of the back or wrap around elbow or hand to magnificent effect.6 stars for having the cloth built in; that's comfortable and wonderful, and useable on many body parts..4 stars for having 20% fewer beads on the tops of the shoulders (though it does passably or better there)5 stars for the design that warms the neck and 4 stars for the concurrent effect on shoulders and upper back.I would like it to have a snap or something that keeps it fully wrapped around front of the neck when I want it to stay that way, though it does fine without that.The 'lavendar', etc did not create any noticeable smell on first use.I dont' have a great sense of smell, but still, I smelled it not.Not that this matters. I'm in it for the heat, which it does mostly very very well, as you have read.

I use this at least weekly for neck and should stiffness/pain. It's perfect for headaches related to neck and shoulder tension. I've even used it on the top and back of my head to help relieve pain from sinus pressure. I love everything about it except for the herbal scent. It smells mostly like chamomile to me, but the scent isn't offensive or super strong. I just prefer to have unscented products. It's definitely not a deal breaker. The stitching seems to be well done and there are no pokey or sharp areas. The minky is very soft. The weight of it is just enough to be very calming. My 5 year old daughter asks for his almost daily - I only warm it for her for about 2 minutes so she doesn't get burned. But she loves it and says it's like a hug. I bought it for myself, but I do find that when she's very upset I allow her to use it and it soothes her almost immediately. The size is perfect for me. I'm petite in stature - 5'1" and narrow shoulders. But it also works well for my 5'10" husband with a medium build and broad shoulders. I have not yet needed to spot clean it.

I have tight tense muscles in neck and upper back. The warmth, softness, and weight are just right!!! Quality excellent with “seams” creating pockets to keep the inside beads(?) from shifting out of place. Very glad I bought it!!!

I've been in some fairly intense physical therapy for upper neck pain (arthritis, exacerbated by bone spurs). PT sessions always end with a moist heat wrap around my neck, and it is delicious. So I went looking for my own version. This comes very close. It is not literally moist, but it feels that way because of the way the heat radiates. I find that I need to leave it in the microwave longer than the instructions indicate, but that is probably just me (or my microwave). The size is awesome, allowing for a lot of customization. It is just like the photos, kind of a cape that goes out to the shoulder edge, and covers the upper back. My pain is specific to the highest part of my spine (with pain radiating to the muscles and nerves on the lower back of my head). So no problem--I just flip the cape thing up away from my back and place my head on it. It is great. I'm sure everyone realizes that a product like this cannot "cure" chronic issues like arthritis, but it gives significant relief in the moment and afterward. A great value--highly recommended!Regarding the scent... I have the gray one. The scent is minimal--doesn't add or detract from the experience.

I have terrible neck and upper back pain routinely - I believe this is where I tend to hold stress. The Hugaroo is so wonderful in helping to calm both my neck and shoulders at the same time! It is heavy and stays in place. The Lavender smell is great and soothing. Unfortunately, the clay beads were not distributed evenly in each cavity and there was a small hole in the seam which the beads 1 by 1 fall out. I am sure this is not the case with all the wraps, but I feel I received a faulty one. The product is overall fantastic, but for it to shed its innards, I am disappointed that it will not be a lasting ptroduct. It could also use more filling as each segment of the wrap does not cover the entire neck or shoulders. Just the very bottom of each section. A few small improvements and sithing would make this product a full 10 rating!!!

Love the weighted heat provided by this wrap. 3 minutes in the microwave does it! It is comforting and therapeutic particularly for the dreaded "tech neck". Stare at your phone much? You need this!
