I bought this to replace a cracked mirror (of a different design, different company, sorta my mistake that caused it to crack).This has a good reach out to the left so that I can see what is coming up behind me and to my left. (I cycle in the U.S., thus drivers and cyclists are on the right side of street.) The arm length reach is one of the primary reasons I selected this over similar products.The positives are:It clearly shows what is behind and coming up on you - the primary purpose for using a cycling mirror.For me, it does reach out far enough to see around my body position.The negatives are:Silly shape of the mirror -- it has stick-out pointy top corners, why? apparently the art or marketing designer thought it would be "cool". NOT. Rectangular with rounded corners would be more practical than the shape it has, in my opinion. The stick-out outside edge means it is more likely to bump things as you move your bike around if you are in tight quarters. But it is manageable.The more significant issue is the arm rotation pivot on the clamp bracket -- it is too easy to come loose, and when it does, the mirror arm just swings out front uselessly. I could probably tighten it down even tighter, but then it will resist any fine adjustment back and forth. I am planning on going to a hardware store to look for a semi-compressible washer which may provide a solution for me - to have it be stable and also able to be occasionally adjustable forward or back some.

An excellent mirror. I had been using a cheap round mirror for years and the image would get blurry when riding on rough surfaces. This mirror is rock steady and the reflection remains clear and with the correct tension, is easily adjusted and stays in place. Make sure to note that the mirror does not come with the required 5mm Allen wrench to install it like some other kits include. At first I thought the mirror did not extend far enough to allow me to see behind the bike but it's fine with a good field of view. It also accommodates me transitioning from riding sitting up to leaning over to the racing position. The other mirror had to be adjusted every time I shifted whereas this seems to afford a good view with different aspects. Well worth the money and can be installed on different diameter handlebars.
