Breville's open box Nespresso machine was like new and a great value
Just received an essentially new Nespresso Vertuo Plus machine for less than half retail, as an open box item with warranty from Breville. The box had some miles on it, but the coffee maker was as new, probably a store shelf model. And it started and worked just fine. Second such machine I've had, and the Vertuo Plus is the best of the Nespresso choices. My previous Vertuo Plus went five years of daily use before failing. The previous machine did everything well but struggled to get through the descaling process.Does it matter where Nespresso makes these? This open box one was Breville-badged from the Ukraine, and while almost identical, seems just a bit better in build quality than the previous one, DeLonghi from Hungary. All trivia. Both make great coffee, in five pod sizes, if one cup at a time with a small counter footprint is your goal.

Amazing Purchase.
I was on the fence whether I wanted to purchase a Breville Espresso Machine or a Nespresso Machine. I have always spent way too much money on coffee shop coffees in the past. I wasn't sure I wanted to buy the Nespresso machine because I bought a Keurig and an Instant Pot Pod coffee/espresso machine and both of those were subpar. They did the job but didn't excel at anything in particular. I ended up giving BOTH of them away to a Christian thrift store because neither machine ended up being the whole package. I was also not crazy that all the Keurig coffee pods were plastic. My life is hectic and after a lot of research, I learned that ANY espresso machine has a MAJOR learning curve that can take up to 6 months on average to learn to make the perfect espresso shot/puck/pull/frothing milk. It's not a task for the faint of heart or those who don't have the time to learn how to pull that perfect espresso shot.So I took a leap of faith and got this Nespresso machine and boy was it worth it. Just like everyone's preferences and tastes are different there are certain pods that aren't my cup of tea, however, there are PLENTY that I absolutely LOVE. This Nespresso machine makes espresso shots that rival Starbucks watered-down drinks. It came with a frothing machine and I had very little research into making the perfect drink to appease my coffee addiction. I would purchase this machine 5x over! Because Nespresso has been around for a little bit there are PLENTY of social media pages and information that can easily be watched to know what the correct portion of syrup you need to make the perfect macchiato, latte, shaken espresso, and cold coffee.I have absolutely no regrets. There are options to make the pods refillable that you can purchase on Amazon however I do not think 1.10 (now if it gets higher than that I may choose the other option) is too pricey for the pod itself. I know that everyone's price range is different that is perfectly fine because there are options for refills if you want that Starbucks experience without having to pay the price. This machine is for those busy people that wake up too late in the morning or only have 5 minutes to get their coffee and go or moms on the go!Do yourself a favor and buy the machine! Watch Tiktok or Youtube if you want to know what pod would best suit your taste. But fear not if you're not into social media like that because this machine not only comes with a frother but also comes with I believe a 20-pack of pods for you to taste them all!A double shot of espresso is my personal favorite and (hot) coffee is my least if I am being 100% transparent but I was never really much a fan of regular hot coffee anyways. Now, the cold coffee with a chiller is a completely different story. Anyways, I hope this helps solve your 5-day dilemma of constantly researching if you are anything like me.

Great value and excellent coffee
Price was constantly changing on this machine. Bought at very good price and very happy with machine so far. Hope it lasts as long as my prior Tassimo Braun machine did? The Verturo Nespresso machines make excellent coffee and espresso. So far, so good. Durability is the only question that will be answered with time.

Love this machine
I love my new Nespresso machine. I did a lot of research in the different variations and settled on this as it checked more boxes on my wishlist than some of the others.I appreciate the various size coffee options this machine makes. It doesn’t do iced coffee which I’m okay with. It also doesn’t brew a carafe or the equivalent of a typical American sized travel mug which is a bit of a negative but not a deal breaker for me.The design of the machine is well thought out and offers a nice smallish footprint. I like that the water reservoir in the back has the ability to fold either left, right, or center giving better options on where it can be placed. I have been annoyed at the lid of the water reservoir as it is unnecessarily difficult to open so I added a small drawer knob to the lid (see photo). The machine is simple and sleek with a super clever lift function the the lid and only a single button needed to operate. There’s no maximum fill besides the physical capacity of the reservoir but be sure to keep at least a third of the tank filled with water so it doesn’t run dry when brewing. I do wish the small stand that your mug rests on was larger though! I have a double walled insulated glass mug and it hits the is die portion of the machine and the bottom edge of the mug rests on the edge of the tiny stand. It’s a bit inconvenient! With the vast selection of coffee options on the Nespresso site you’re sure to find blends to suit your style. Add a countertop milk frothier to the mix and you will save tons of money by not going to your local overpriced brew house. I absolutely love my machine! As I truly feel that user reviews are the best way to gauge a product before you buy, I hope you've found this review helpful. Cheers!

Breville perfection
If you’re like me, as in you don't have the time to make coffee drinking more than what it is (espeesso snob). this is your machine. love the ease of use, no drama! Love the 1 button operation. It gets you a nice hot brew in 30sec. The deluxe model has a larger water tank capacity. I tried the delonghi and the breville both deluxe and I must say the Breville wins in terms of built quality. Noise level is not a concern as it brews fast and operates smoothly when opening and closing so it won’t wake the dead up. I like the design of the breville more but that’s a personal preference. It is so worth it. Honestly The only issue of this machine is that it’s by Nespresso = Nestle’ but.. what is not!!?
