Lifepod is Best “travel” safe on the market
Phenomenal product! Light weight, secure, inconspicuous and just flat out works. Glock 43x mos with shield RMSc + spare mag fits like a glove. If you’re on the fence about finger print scanner or not I suggest going finger print Ive always been skeptical about finger print scanners because they just never have worked consistently for my fingers. So opted for just keypad for my life pod (later got a vaultek VS10i for my night stand and can confidently say vaults has the best biometric scanner I’ve ever used read every time) if buy another I’ll 100% be buy the biometric (fast)** lifepod is a great “travel/truck/bring with you in a backpack safe” that being said I would not recommend using a lifepod as quick access home defense safe “latches” are manual and make access impractical for a nightstand safe. If you looking for a nightstand or quick access safe I highly recommend the VAULTEK VS10i or the VS20i welll worth the price and the perfect nightstand/ quick access home defense safe. I’m not normally a reviewer and was new to the VAULTEK brand but man they make a great product and they keep making these kind of quality products I’ll be a customer for life

High quality and easy to use.
My husband and I bought these to be able to fly with our firearms. Size was perfect. Big enough to fit our firearms and ammo. But small enough to easily fit in our suitcases and not take up too much space. Easy to use and well made!

Flawless product, perfect for travel and Automotive use
There are not many products that actually excite me (As a disclaimer, I have no connection with Vaultek at all)....especially enough to go and buy 3 of their products in a matter of days. I spend a lot of time with guns and am very supportive of anything that promote safety and keeps them out of the hands of criminals. This seems like a great option for our lifestyle so I thought that I would share.I conceal carry near constantly, however...there are times that I am obligated to store my gun in my vehicle. Up until now that has been a challenge mostly because most portable gun safes are not designed for true automotive use (in particular, the rigors of off road and open vehicle usage. They F'n rattle and provide virtually zero protection from the elements. The locks are not reliable and if they are....they are tedious at best to open.Enter the Vaultek Lifepod series travel vaultInexpensive ($107 at Amazon)Airtight/Water resistant (Enough to float)Programmable to any combination between 4-8 digitsBig enough for a Glock 19 and spare magazineHas a few options like an Organizer for cards and cash etc, Also a cable loop to secure almost anywhere (Hotel, Car etc). Although....I think it is dumb that they don't include the cable loop for free. (A little tip....if you order the black one from Amazon, some have been reported to come with a cable. I ordered 2 black safes, one came with it and one did not).Multiple colors (I think its like Black, Gold (ish), Grey, Orange, Multicam and there are a couple special editions). It is composed of a tough polymer (feels much like a Glock)....it feels very sturdy, I know that it is drop tested but not sure to what extent. I am sure that if someone spent enough time trying to open it....with some effort and tools they could. But it is certainly way more secure than probably what you are doing now.I don't think that it particularly looks like a safe which is nice.I have found the lock to be super reliable and easy to operate.I hard mounted one of mine to my Springtail Tailgate TableMOLLE rack....it seems like a perfect place to discretely stow the gun before proceeding into the places where am restricted. It matches the Punk'n and does not appear out of place in the Jeep.Note: One of the life pods had to be returned because the program button would not work....Amazon replaced it promptly and without any hassle.

Great safe easy access
I like this safe. It fits my Walther PDP- F Series 3.5. Easy quick access. I haven’t used it to transport as of yet. It’s currently on my nightstand

Great for Air Travel
My job has me flying 40% of the time. I have dozens of travel cases and major cons on each whereas the Lifepod cases are mostly pro. I’ve tried a lot of cases and had one of three issues with them: too bulky, too heavy or not secure enough.I have both the Lifepod and the 2.0. I find the Lifepod ideal for single pistol or two micro pistol travel. The 2.0 is ideal for multiple pistol travel.Pro- They take up very little space in my suitcase.- They are the lightest secure pistol safe I’ve found.- They are easy to program.- They are reliable.- they provide extremely easy access while providing excellent security.- TSA cannot acres them without you being present (legally, they cannot open handgun cases with you present and they are prohibited from handling your firearm unless confiscating it due to law violations).- they are extremely adaptable for securing different items- they come with a backup key (which I keep on my keychain) in case of battery failure- they are tough and can take travel without getting damaged- they are extremely air tight. Try opening one after flying without venting it first.- they come with securing cables so you can secure the case in hotel room (very few do this)- three forms of entry (biometric, key pad and key)- interior light is great- most importantly, items inside are secure from movement when properly placed in the foam.Cons- the pluck foam doesn’t hold up or last- biggest issue to me is they do not have biometrics in bright highly visible cases. Nothing says steel me better than camo/dark cases. With bright yellow, white or orange cases it’s hard to hide from plain sight whereas it’s easy with the darker cases. I was flying into Haines Alaska and waiting as they unloaded the float plane. I knew something was wrong because I saw the baggage person handing my high viz yellow Pelican 1170 pistol case from around 50yds away. No way I would have seen that with my Lifepod cases. In flight my suitcase zipper failed on my suitcase dumping its contents in the cargo bay.Overall both cases are great and the only thing I feel they need to improve on would be adding high visibility line and a wider case capable of handling larger frame bear defense pistols.
