Stud finder
Really useful, used to before putting up pictures. Small and compact and usuall dewalt build quality. Very accurate, decent value for money

Stud Finder
This is a really handy stud finder for everyday use where you’re pretty sure what’s behind a wall and need reassurance. The depth for hidden cables isn’t huge but those within a capping under skim/boards were picked up ok.The stud finder alert did keep going off when pointed in my direction but then I realised I’m just a massive stud (ask the Wife).

Doesn't detect studs or beams behind the plasterboard , its ok for electrics but even that is intermittent

Unreliable detection
Stud detection is a hit and miss... AC detection seems more reliable...

Fit for purpose, very easy to use
This is easy to use, good quality and was cheap. I have had no problems looking for studs when running over plasterboard. It also picks up electrical cables installed behind plasterboard to avoiddrillign into a live wire.

Excellent bit of kit
Sometimes you buy something that is not that expensive and you wonder why on earth you didn't buy one years ago. This is such a case.
