PURCHASED ITEM mainly cause stated NON STAINING ! FYI.. it does stain skin and cloth ,,,,, well it is iodine ! and wouldn't use anything else...

The wound care specialist at the hospital recommended povidone ointment to prevent infection in wounds. She said it was much better than using an antibiotic ointment. It has worked well for us.

If you research peroxide you will see it kills both good and bad cells, it can't tell the difference and can increase scarring. Iodine on the other hand is perfect for wounds and cuts. I have given a tube to the kids to use on the grandkids because it doesn't burn.

It works.

The medicine inside the tube seems runny…watered down or diluted with something.
