It's better than the Avenger
I have used the low end Okuma products for years. I have a Okuma Ceynar 1000 baitfeeder I use for panfish and trout. I also own 4 Avengers of various sizes. The Ceymar is beautiful out of the box. Quality of the manufacturing and parts is very good so far. This was one of my go-to reels for the last couple of seasons. (2 seasons is good considering the amount of use.) The Ceymar looks good, is built better, and has a better drag under pressure. My Avenger reels give out in about the first year. Avenger reels have a good price point and for the person that doesn't fish much. They Ceymar is a little more expensive. If you are not the occasional fisherman, pay the extra couple of dollars. It's worth it.

Excellent customer service
Great quality reel. The cbf-3000 built solid. Metal perch & thick bail. Smooth, well worth the 65$I gave it the rating due to the baitfeeder, bought it to float fish for trout with my friends centerpins...6'6" ultra lite okuma,11g bobber,3 med to small splitshots (3total)& 1/32 jig in a current roughly 900sftps....did not bait feed at all. It did start to feed on its own over 80yrds away SO I think that the length of my rod is a factor. I'm putting it on a 10ft rod for next fall & will update this review. Otherwise the reel is absolutely perfect & the okuma customer service is second to none.Update: pot the ceymar 3000 bf on a 10ft okuma celilo MLa & with a 9g bobber, & in more than a little current it did feed out. I like the reel very much. If the bf part could be JUST a little less tension needed to feed,it'd be just like having a centerpin.

Okuma baitfeeder reel
I haven't had a chance to use it yet . I got it primarily for ice fishing but I'm sure it will meet my expectations. Okuma products are high quality.

Perfect for deadstick
An absolute must have reel for deadsticking. Super smooth and an awesome drag system like every other Okuma reel I've used. The baitfeeder feature works flawlessly

Damn! what a reel!
Wow! What a great fishing reel the drag is smooth as silk the bait runner feature feeds out flawlessly. this is the best 70 bucks I’ve spent on a reel in a very long time! if you’re looking to get into carp fishing or just live bait fishing in general for large fish this is a great entry level reel to get yourself started. I would recommend to anybody and I am definitely planning to buy two more

Great reel
Bought this reel to drop 2-4 oz bucktails and bottom rigs on the inshore artificial reefs. Do a lot of bottom fishing in snaggy environments. I fish for tog (blackfish) a lot and the bigger ones like to take you into rocks and cut you off. I’m spooled up with 65 lb braid. Just used it last week on a 6 hour fishing trip. Casts very smooth and each turn of the handle gets the line in very fast also was able to get most of my snagged rigs back. Reel is mated up to a St Croix RIFT jig rod (RIFSJ58H) rated for 40-80 lb test line.

Not bad for the price
For a 3500 sized real it seemed a bit on the small side. I wouldnt use it for a Salmon reel. I went to a 4500 for that job. I will use it for different purpose. Looks to be well made and looks good. I think you get more for your money with Okuma Products.

As advertised
Reel does what it is supposed to do. Use it with a Finicky Fooler. Works great.
