ADJ Products PAR-38BL PAR-38B WITH LAMP

I bought six of these PAR-38 cans to use with six color-changing LED flood lights. My original plan was to discard the gel frames and use a Dremel to cut the gel frame clips off the cans, but I very quickly got used to the look of the cans just the way they are. I'll never use gels, but the offset gel frames add a professional touch to the look of my stage lighting.All six of the cans worked perfectly right out of the box. They all took their new bulbs and mounted to the stands just fine. The cans are easy enough to swivel up and down and tighten into place, but at this time it will become evident you're not handling precision German engineering. These are not expensive cans. But they are fully functional, they're metal, they look good, and if you can pick up four of them for a Benjamin, you're doing great.

I'm using therapeutic lighting for migraine and decided to use the set up for my cat who is pre diabetic and is having some issues. This little tripod set up works well. I used duct tape to hold it on the tripod, jerry style but it's working.This product is as advertised, works well, and arrived well packaged and in perfect condition, no noticeable flaws or scratches. It's a very nice, well made lamp in my opinion. Although, I do not do stage lighting or work, it feels well made and looks nice. The main things is that I have set up this therapeuticsystem to use and I'm excited to have this fixture.The light bulb included works as well. I put it in with the stored lights, I'm not using it. I ordered a 25 watt bulb and a 40 watt bulb for my purpose. This is perfect and a competitive price including shipping.5 Stars

I wish the metal gauge was just a little bit thicker to avoid bending when the inevitably get thrown around, but it works and it’s cheap. I would pay $10 more per light to get a stronger yoke and nicer knobs though…

I purchased several of these recently and just ordered more, excellent fixture! I am a lighting designer and light for an off Broadway theater company with demanding needs when it comes to the stage. I would pay any price for a good fixture and didn't know what to expect from these, I thought they would be flimsy and cheap, anything but. The finish is excellent, a durable enamel, better than most high priced fixtures I have purchased. The cord is heavy duty, the steel housing is solid, they also accept gels, I was really pleasantly surprised. The lamp they provide isn't very useful, it has to be swapped out for a proper Par lamp, but who cares. I don't have anything negative to say, really, as I said I spent 5 times more for Pars and they are not made as well. Will not accept barn doors easily, but I am using black out tape and screens, which works fine.

“ADJ Products PAR-38BL PAR-38B WITH LAMP…”This is a great little can. My need for it was pretty simple; I had a par 56 can behind my monitor aimed at the wall to give my eyes some relief. I got a new monitor and that 56 was too big all of a sudden.They ship it with a pretty crappy lamp. I just threw it out. I put a little 40W reflector bulb in it that’s about the size of a golf ball and it is working perfectly.I noticed one or more of the other reviews mention light leaks. I noticed that too because of the gel frame. (So cool this thing has a gel frame!) I would show you what I’m about to tell you but Amazon now wants access to my camera and all of my photos in order for me to post any images, so, nothing doing.The gel frame is held in place by springy clips in the slots. Not ideal, but they seem strong enough if you are sure to install the instrument correctly. If you take those clips off and install them “ backwards” they would then press the gel frame to the can and eliminate that light leak. (Out of the box those clips press the gel frame away from the can leaving about a half inch gap). Keep in mind that by modifying it thus, you will alter the heat exchange dynamics which will be important if you are using higher watt lamps - especially incandescent lamps. Use reasonable caution.The yoke is kind of short and has only one position, but I’ve found a workaround. Otherwise I am thrilled with this fixture and would buy it again if the need arises.Based on the other reviews; manage your expectations, but buy with confidence.The only other thing worth mentioning is that they use 1/4-20 thumbscrews to secure the tilt of the fixture. These do not feel like they will last very long with “road use”, but installed like I did, not great, but effective.

This is meant to be a very inexpensive option to light whatever you want, and it is. Here is what you need to know. The bulb is terrible and has ridges that cast bright and dull light over you intended target. Swap this with a well rated LED at the correct color temperature you need (I used 2700K). Next the power cord is short, maybe 4', you will need an extension cord for anything you are doing. Lastly it does not have an on and off switch nor is it DMX controlable, if you are mounting this permanently, be sure you have a good way to turn it on and off as needed. Overall we got what we paid for and made the small upgrades to make this the little workhorse we need it to be.

I purchased these as a dimmable stage light for a band. They’re great. Very inexpensive, sturdy enough to hold up on the road. Easy to replace the bulb. Reasonable length on the power cord. No complaints!

This is a very well built light i own 2 of them the lamp socket is great quality overall i recommend this product.

Cumplen con su función, dan un poco de calor

Petite lampe très compacte de fabrication solide! J'ai remplacé mon éclairage gigantesque (PAR 64 et PAR 56) par des petites lampes comme celle-ci. Le seul point négatif, c'est l'ampoule fournie avec la lampe... il y a un gros "blindspot" en plein milieu du faisceau, donc je remplace par des ampoules au LED moins énergivore et plus durable. Ma suggestion; ne fournissez plus d'ampoules et baisser le prix de la lampe...
