This whale butter dish is not only adorable, it’s actually practical too! The design is super cute and adds a fun touch to our kitchen counter, but what really surprised me is the thoughtful detail: it has an integrated cup measurement printed on the base, and I admit it's very useful. It fits a standard butter stick perfectly, and we use it daily to keep our salted butter ready for breakfast. It’s become one of those little things that makes the morning routine just a bit happier. This is so cute and fun. I like having whimsical stuff and Usually you have to worry about cookware being sort of flimsy if its fun. But this is decently weighted and well made and not flimsy at all! And I like the little lines that tell you how much you’re cutting off. Makes it easy if you bake and only need a certain amount.

I love whales and I love real butter. This is an adorable item. What I love is the practical nature of the design: The whale's spout is a convenient handle to lift the lid. The whale tale is convenient handle to steady whilst loading one's knife with butter. On the inside, there's a little ridge to keep the butter from sliding off as you scoop up your pat of butter which also helps prevent the edges from getting messy. Inside, the "bones" help with measurements. It's very large, which some may see as a problem, but for me it's fine - it will hold 2 butter sticks, or if you use the long skinny margarine it would hold 2 sticks of that as well. My chief complaint with previously owned butter dishes was always the mess created by the butter touching the top of the lid, or the edges getting messy from butter smears. But this dish design is so clever, it keeps your butter tidy. The design is so cute. I just love whales and it makes me smile when I see it. I would absolutely buy it again. If someone I knew were also obsessed with whales and butter, I would gift one to them for sure.

I wish I would have recorded the box opening. Let me say the company took their time to ensure the item was well packaged and wrapped to ensure a non damaged product would arrive. I absolutely love the design and the color. It adds a "Pop" to the counter top filled with normal kitchen items. This design is exactly what's needed in a butter dish. Over 20 years I have been looking for a butter dish that easy to pickup and open the top. As we all know butter dishes get slippery after time from the butter itself. nothing worse then lifting a slippery top to have it slide out of your hands. Well fear no more with this unit, seriously. The "Tail End" is long enough and sturdy for an easy transfer grip. The top "water blow hole design" is also sturdy and raised perfectly to grip and remove the top portion. I hand washed it once I received it and there are no water spots like some pasts dishes I've bought. YAY I have not used it in the dishwasher yet, but it does say its dishwasher safe. Inside the dish is a marker for amount to help with measuring butter for cooking, which is a nice and different additive not seen by any other product I've come across. All in all I am very happy with my product and would buy again from the maker. PS I am not being paid or benefitting from this review. Honestly a happy 42 year old mom :)

Butter dish has a large area for the butter, I love it!

This is of good quality. I really like how it has the fish bone marks for tbsp. It is a fun addition to my kitchen. Makes me glad my other butter dish did not survive moving house. :)

Adorable, terrific butter dish. Quality is good. Well packaged to ship and arrive without breaking. The only downside is that it does not hold a Kirkland Signature/Kerry Gold Grass-Fed Butter 8 oz size bar. The bar is too wide; the whale lid is too narrow to fit over. Outside of this, I would highly recommend this product. It is a delightful addition to the kitchen.

This is so adorably cute. The whole family loves it. I just ordered a second one, in case this one gets broken--that's how much I love it. It's fun, whimsical, but has the features I like: a lid handle you can grip, the tail you can also hold it by, the inside measurement markings, & the sides aren't too high to cut the butter. It works well for me.

una balena porta burro molto simpatica, a mia moglie è piaciuta un sacco. Abbastanza grande per non toccare il panetto di burro con il coperchio, il disegno all'interno aiuta molto quando sono da fare misure "a occhio". English: Good product: great design, a very funny whale (a gift for my wife, that appreciated it a lot) and very practical with the cover not touching butter and the useful drawing on the bottom to "guesstimate" how much butter to cut.

Really good. At first I thought the packaging for a butter dish was a little OTT, but upon reading the leaflets enclosed outlining the company's ethos as well as a couple of opportunities to try new products, I think you really hit the mark well. The product looks awesome, and as a designer myself, I love the attention to detail with the teaspoon/tablespoon measurements on the base of the dish so you know how much butter you're taking. Well-made product, and loving the humour with the whale!
