Great starter kit!
So this taught me embroidery: it's not rocket science, it takes patience and it's a lovely thing to do!The pre-printed patterns wash out easily and completely (watch yourself though, the ink is thermosensitive, so don't leave it sitting on the radiator or, like this numpty, rest it on your hot water bottle - the ink will darken and be much harder to see), colour on embroidery thread does not run.You get plenty of thread per each design: you will have plenty left over if you follow instructions and split the thread into however many strands are required. This isn't only something that can halve your thread usage, it also leads to neater, shiner designs.Love that there were light and dark background canvases - after improvising on and completing the navy and black one I found that the white and natural coloured canvas aren't as appealing and the patterns were simplistic. Be brave and add to patterns as well as draw your own designs! It's worth it.Also look up more stitches on YouTube. Beautiful effects can be achieved really easily! The plastic frames are actually brilliant for the making process, due to a lip inside that helps grab the fabric much better than the bamboo/wood type, which I by far prefer for displaying and gifting once I'm done (the non-plastic type cam be found cheaply on here or in The Works!).One final point: the wee thread snipper you receive for free with this is ace!! And do use the needle threader. Yes, you can do it by hand/eye but it takes much longer and way more patience than individual thread like in setting since you have multiple strands to deal with and you will be switching colours frequently. Make it easy on yourself! In any case, that is me addicted to embroidery now.

Great for starting, but extra tutorials needed
I found this really good for starting embroidery, personally I didn't find the booklet to be descriptive enough however it may be due to me being more of a visual learner. Otherwise all of the tools provided are very good! Would also recommend getting something to store the left over threads in case you wish to use them for other projects

Just learning or need a refresher - this is definitely a great buy!
I haven't done any embroidery in many years so bout this as a refresher as I want to finish off a piece left to me from a family member, and I wanted to do it justice. This little kit is brilliant, I have recommended it to several people already. It comes with plenty of yarn so if you have a tangle etc. there is enough to try again, each piece also came with two needles to use too. The patterns are nice and the booklet is very clear (think paint by numbers, but sewing) and has a 'how to' stitch guide in the back, so if you are learning you don't need to reference another guide to follow the design. The pack also comes with a set of yarn snips which are actually quite good quality!

Easy to use.
This is great value. I have always liked enjoyed sewing and needlecraft but have never done embroidery. I have a very stressful job with the ambulance service and thought this would be a great stress buster. It definately is. Its easy to use. Instructions are ok if a little small. i (tend to get stitching techniques off utube ). I have virtually completed my first one and think i have done an ok job. After a horrible day at work the previous day, this was just what was needed to re-focus and just chill out.Would definately recommend.

Easy for beginners
Initially it was hard to get my head around it as I've never done this before. I found getting the yarn through the small needles tricky so ended up using one with a bigger eye on it. HOWEVER the instructions it comes with is great and shows you the different stitches and what colour goes where which is proper helpful! It's great for a complete beginner like me as I can get used to going over the patterns then eventually go to making my own.I'm so glad I brought this.

Excellent step by step instruction
Four different embroidery patterns to complete. Excellent instructions that even a complete novice can follow. This set is beautiful and was great value for money. I would definitely buy again.

Good kit for beginners
The fabric is very thin which makes the embroidery easier but also seems to be slightly lower quality. Other than that, very easy to follow and plenty of thread to use.

Love it! I now have a new hobby
I have learnt how to do to embroidery with this kit (see photo) and now have a new hobby. It comes with everything you need. The instructions aren’t always translated well but they are still understandable. If I was unsure of how to do a stitch from the diagrams, I just looked up a video on line. Would recommend.
