Nice warm tone, similar to a birch sound. Versatile, single tom post has a 7/8's accessory hole, so can mountain an extra cymbal arm. Lightweight kit, good for gigging, recording etc. Very happy with it. Sounds as good as any kit to me and affordable.

I was excited that my drum set came today. However, I got one box and in it was the bass drum and floor tom. Where is my snare drum and my mounted Tom? Apparently this set is split into two boxes. I’m very disappointed. I was looking so forward to setting them up and playing them. One star until resolved.

Long time drummer. I love these drums. I changed all the heads, added wood hoops and they have just the warmth and depth I need. Incredible sized set that saves space in both your practice room and on stage. Can confirm the set does come in two boxes with everything stated/expected.Unfortunately, the snare I received, I found the bottom bearing edge to have a defect. There is a 3 1/2 to 4" portion that dips away from the drum head. Doesn't say much for their quality control, and using the links/phone number provided by Amazon gets me no where. I finally found a link on the Gretsch Drum site to submit for support, but they never got back to me. This is the reason for the two stars in my review.

Was excited to receive my drums but when I opened it up, it was missing snare and Tom Tom. I’m very upset that I wasted my time and now I have to waste more of my time and gas to go to ups for return.

Only received half the order one snare, and one rack tom. Box said 1 of 2 and delivery is marked as complete. Will update when resolved.
