Sweet Almond Oil Cleansing Conditioner For All Hair Types by Hair One

Like many, I was converted to cleansing conditioner by Wen but the price of Wen is too hefty to keep up. When I bought Hair One, I thought of it like comparing a PT Cruiser to a Cadillac Escalade. The PT Cruiser will get you from point A to point B, but it's not going to have the luxury of an Escalade.Hair One doesn't feel quite as luxurious as Wen, but it works surprisingly well. I've found that the key for healthy, shiny hair with ALL shampoos is to wash with cool water. Hot water opens the cuticle, making your hair brittle and fragile. Cool water keeps the cuticle closed so the cleanser simply washes away the dirt and oil on the outside instead of stripping the oil on the inside. You should rub the product between your hands and then apply directly to your scalp, massaging it in and working out to the ends. Also, massage your scalp as you rinse so the water gets all the way down and you rinse it out completely. The cool water also attracts the cleanser so it doesn't leave residue.My hair feels very nice after using Hair One, clean, no residue, bouncy, shiny and silky soft. I use just a tiny bit of coconut oil shine on the tips and that's it for product after washing with Hair One. If you want a comparison to Wen, this doesn't feel as creamy out of the bottle and the scent is very minty with a hint of almond whereas Wen smells like almond with a hint of mint. While the experience while washing doesn't feel as luxurious, the result is very much the same.

I have been using this for over a month.I have baby fine, thin hair (thanks Mom). I was worried this product would weigh my hair down and leave it greasy, but wanted to get out of the damaging routine of using Shampoo/Conditioner.I have to wash my hair daily as it gets so oily. I use this daily as well.WOW! This stuff is AWESOME.My hair has MORE BODY than it ever has. Super soft. Never greasy or weighed down.I have mid-back length hair, so it's fairly long.I soak my hair for about 1-2min.Then I rub (2) pumps into my front hairline, sides by ears, and top of my head.I rub (2) more pumps into the center of the back of my head, and then run my hair for a second or two under water to disperse the product a little more. I then take (2) more pumps and add it to the nape of my neck hairline.I rub with my fingers all over my head for 30sec to (1)min, then another 30sec to (1)min down to the tips of my hair.I twist it up in a bun and clip it up (I keep a clip in the shower for this reason now-very handy).I then leave it up as I go about my other shower business; shaving, face scrub/wash, etc. for about 10-15min so it can sit on my hair and do its thing. The bottle says the longer it's left on the better-and it's true.Than I rinse it all out, rubbing the scalp for 1-2mins.I don't have to use leave in conditioner now, too. That is great!Overall, this is an amazing product. I am still using the same bottle for 1 month now and have about 1/4 left.Cheaper option than WEN and still saves when compared to the "natural" and high end brands of shampoo and conditioner.I believe any negative reviews this product has received is due to operator error, or different hair types that weren't compatible with this product (which is why the company makes different ones).Just TRY IT FOR YOURSELF, it's worth a shot. I will NEVER use shampoo again!!!

Pros:Smells goodCleans well without looking greasyCons:Price per ounces don't provide enough for me.My hair is Caucasian, long, wavy, and oily at the scalp. I can only skip 1 day at most using ANY product before my hair is greasy looking.The amount of this product I need to use at one time to effectively clean my long hair that needs washing every other day - this ONE bottle didn't last more than a week. Especially going by the exact amount the product directions on the bottle recommend using.I gave it 4⭐ because it IS effective, just not a practical buy for me personally.

I mainly purchased this for nostalgia factor; the scent holds dear to me as I used this when I first came home from college and had really good times in my life while using it. The send us sweet and kind of nutty and everso slightly minty. The consistency is kinda strange though; almost gummy in a way. It does get the job done if you haven't used any product, but beyond that, you're better off using the traditional shampoo and conditioner method. For the price point and size it's decent, but nothing to right home about. I do like the scent and kinda wish it was a little more nutty and stronger, and do wish the formula was a bit less gummy (perhaps it's the oils in the product), but in all, it's alright. I'll probably only use it when I need a trip down memory lane, but other than that, I'd opt for something....stronger perhaps. My hair doesn't feel dry, but it could definitely feel cleaner

The Hair One Hair Cleanser and Conditioner has been sold with different oils. I have used most of them and find the one with almond oil works best for me, even better than the argan oil. You might have to try more than one to find the one that works best on your hair.
