Wow, I was afraid to order this business planner because of the "yellow text on white" complaints in the other reviews, but did anyway. I'm so glad I did. The publisher must have changed the printing, as there is NO yellow/white pages anywhere in this book. I've been in business for four years and find this planner very helpful for goal making, organizing, and keeping information about shows, suppliers, wholesale accounts, etc. For beginners, it teaches as you go. Great tool!

I have been generous in my stars only because this is a great tool for newbies. It really breaks it down gives you space to create your mission statements, your business plan. I was going between 3 stars and 4 because I blame the printer not the author. I would say there are pages I cannot even read. The white and yellow or yellow on yellow! The print is challenging to decipher. The good news is its not every page. It appears on the tabs. However the text within a section is light. Like they were saving for ink. I am constantly picking it up to do a section and off put by how much I have to struggle to get it done. The exercises are easy and necessary when venturing into the realm of self employment. I still struggle that I gave it too many stars let's just name it what it is a solid 3 1/2. I recommend for the content I just hate the packaging

I love this little book. It has really good worksheets and advice for starting up a craft/art business. It gives worksheets on how to price everything, figuring out all the little details on the legality of starting a business and what you, as the owner, want out of the business. Really useful, helpful, and practical.

A very detailed book on keeping a crafts business organized. Fantastic tips for starting and running a craft business. I am enjoying it very much!

I bought the kindle edition after searching if you could write in kindle. I use the app on my iPad, and couldn't figure out anyway to actually write/type on the pages. What's the point of a planner if you can't use it? It was easy to return, though. I wish it had worked, because the text issue would have been easily solved with the click of a button. I do plan to get the print version though.

After reading the comments about the yellow text on white paper, I almost didn't give this book a chance. Then I saw replies that the issue was fixed. However, when I received my book it had the yellow on white. I can barely tell there is text there. As a designer myself, I know that yellow text just doesn't work unless there is more contrast. The rest of the book looks nicely designed and the color scheme as a whole is pleasant. I appreciated the content and the overall purpose of the book. It doesn't really provide enough space to fill it out unless you have minuscule handwriting. The content looks useful, so I will likely use it as a guide and type up my answers on the computer. Therefore, as a planner, it offers bare minimum space, just enough to be usable.

Like the other reviewers, the lack of contrast in the type knocked a star off. I used to do book and magazine design and layout and I am scratching my head on how anyone could find this workable. I cannot read the white on yellow at all. That aside, I loved the layout of the planner. Good size, lots of fun places to write. Overall good info and great exercises for someone just getting a business started.

I love being organised and this is the perfect thing for something who likes to write a list! With the to do list pad at the front and loads of tips and guidance to help to map out your business, I will be using this loads to help me develop my craft business. Fantastic kit.

This is such a great little planning book! It provides you with lots of tips and will give you an organized layout for each section! It even has some extra pages just in case you need more.

Ok, had trouble printing forms

Such an attractive little organiser for my craft business! It's a neat size (approximately A5 size) to carry to craft fairs for recording sales and planning future endeavours. There's a notepad and a holder to store business cards, receipts and loose papers. The planner also features some visually engaging worksheets where you can jot down your market research, expenses and revenue projection. There's also some motivational statements and advice from other craft business people throughout the planner, even though it's obvious advice it helps keep you on the ball. It's a pretty business planner and has kept me organised so far... My gripes are: ~ Sometimes there's not enough room to jot down information on some of the worksheets... The graphics are appealing but space-consuming. ~ The cover isn't very durable (especially against liquids!). Mine has worn down pretty quick, but I often take it with me (so, my bad). ~ Just be aware that it's an organiser predominantly for American people, but it's not really a major problem. Just change $ to £, and only a tiny bit of information in the planner may be irrelevant to us British folk. ~ Yellow text on White wasn't such a good idea... Can prove a little tricky to read in bad light. Overall, it's a lovely little planner which is great for those planning on setting up their own craft/design business!

i brought this for a friend as she was starting up her own business and now i have brought one for my sister who is doing the same!!! they both love them!! i was so pleased i came across this as a perfect gift :)
