Thrilling to hear the original cast in an audio production. After 45 years, new story lines!! Buy this one --- but the others too!!!

While the labelling indicates that the second disc is bonus material, music from the series, this is effectively a two disc production.The first disc is a collection of interviews with the cast and crew, how the project was relaunched, key plot and themes developed.There are no spoilers on the disc as far as the rest of the discs go but it was very interesting to hear the perspectives the original cast, replacement cast, writers on major themes in the original series and new production such as character development or a Christmas special.There are reveals/spoilers, of a minor nature, for instance there is more development of the character of Angelic, there are characters featured who are humans and they are not bit part characters or lackeys to the supernaturals and Barnabas Collins has attempted to escape the vampire curse by switching bodies with another. However I dont believe that any of these indicate anything which would ruin the other productions for a listener.The second disc, the "bonus material", is a collection of musical pieces from the new audio dramas and given the striking and memorable the theme music was in the original productions its great to have it but perhaps only a hard core fan is going to buy this disc.The order of the other CD audio dramas incidentially are listed in the inlay card (the other card featuring a picture of the cast reunited and providing credits and content) as follows:-The House of Despair; The Book of Temptation; The Christmas Presence; The Rage Beneath.
