Lasted 5 years!
I went through three other badge holders that lasted 1-6 months before falling apart or developing issues. I have my keys which weigh about 250g or half a pound attached along with a couple of NFC fobs.I wanted this securely attached to my belt but able to be removed if needed easily since my car still has a standard ignition. I found a titanium belt clip that I feed my belt through and stays in place between two loops and a titanium D d-ring that the clip on this fits nicely into. After 5 years the seems cord finally detached from the metal bit and the cord fully retracted into the spool. I had given the other holder away to a work colleague. The only maintenance needed is to tighten the screw on the back that holds the cover over the soool about once a year.I’m considering buying a couple more to last me until retirement if I can remember where they are stashed.I wanted t

Don't leave your key in the lock
So far so good. Perfect for the keys I need to use all day. Clip is so strong it's difficult to slide on your belt. Wish the badge holder was optional or removeable. Small issue for a great product. ASk me again in a year, we'll see if it holds up, so far an absolute 10.

Very Strong
It does what it says! Its a very strong heavy duty retractable id badge or Keychain badge. I've been using this product everyday since I got it and trusting it more. It has never fell of my pants and I barely notice its clip on my pants. I use it for my wireless ear buds and the retractable is strong. It holds my wireless ear buds with case on it and a smart location tag and it holds is up pretty good. My gf uses it for her Keychain. She has so many keys for her job and she havent had a problem with it neither.

Theses are worth the money....
These are very durable. The only thing you have to watch out for is the tiny plastic loop that's secures the badge holder to the retractable line. Even tho it has a metal loop, the plastic tears away from it and the badge holder falls off.

These are saving me money!
I am pretty tough on my equipment. I have a rough job and I kept breaking the plastic badge reels that are so common. I kept getting more frustrated, so I tried turning to a metal version. It is amazing! Well worth the price. I added a small piece of velcro for interchangeable toppers, because I'm bougie like that. Lol. And I have a spare if something does happen to this one! Highly recommend!

Wow!
I have a teaching job where I need to open classroom doors over 40 times a day. Other reels lasted me a couple months at most. This one made it through three entire school years so far. So impressive!

Seems like good quality
Just what I needed, although my employer uses huge ID's on lanyards and wont fit the pocket for this, but I needed it for keys! Does what it says and looks substantial enough to last

Good, not great.
When they said Heavy Duty, they MEANT it! This will handle a 5lbs badge. Or a brick. The torque is enough to pull the clip off your shirt when you go to swipe it. The industrial nature of this winder also means it has significant mass itself, so be prepared for it to stretch your clothes out, unless you're wearing it on a leather belt. The clip also seems to have extra pinch to it to help hold on when the winder is used, and thus is extra hard to get ones collar through.Honestly, I'd have liked it with a little LESS torque, maybe a few more inches of reach, and a bit less pinch in the clip and also less mass. I do like the reinforced badge strap though, which seems like it should last significantly longer than non-reinforced straps, and has enough length to pass three (or more) badges, plus a dosimeter clip through, and still have room for more. The leash itself, although thicker than most, is probably the weakest link in this item, and again, a little shorter than I'd like it to be.
