I had a broken louvre for over 4 years!!! It was broken from the frame and the metal piece had broken from the shutter arm. I needed 2 pieces and had no idea where or how I was going to fix this. The hubby wanted to help but heck no...it would have been destroyed. So I waited and finally I looked on Amazon. Within 5 minutes, I found what I was looking for. I have 3 inch shutters and they worked perfectly!!! Took about 10 minutes to get both pieces in . Be patient! It's not hard just have to get the pieces at the right level. I actually held the metal piece with needle nose pliers. Now, I have shutters that work perfectly! Why the heck didn't I look on Amazon 4 years ago!

This was an awesome discovery! After moving into a new home last summer, the former owners left us with 6 broken plantation shutter on various windows. I knew the professional fix was quite expensive so decided to try this first. Once you figure out the first one, they are very quick and easy to install. Now you’d never know these shutters had been broken. I HIGHLY recommend this product.

We had cheap contractor grade shutters with a bunch of flapping, loose louvers. In the past we have paid someone to come fix them all but they charged something like $10 per louver. At the time we had young kids bouncing around so they got broken constantly and we just quit fixing them. Finally I watched a couple of YouTube videos and saw how easy it was to DIY. Ordered this kit and it was as easy as it appeared in the videos. The hardest part was separaing the staples - I used two pairs of pliers to hold each of the 'legs' of the clump of staples and twisted gently - the staples popped right apart. Also, the staple 'legs' were a little long for the holes in the louver slats so I just tapped them gently in with a hammer. Problem solved and they look so much better. Seriously one of the easiest and most rewarding home improvement projects ever.

I can't believe this cheap thing worked so amazingly. I'd have to say this is probably one of my best purchases on Amazon yet!!! At first I thought my shutters were pretty old and this wouldn't work. but it worked flawlessly and with minimal effort. Wish I had fixed my shutters before we decided to move! haha

Fit existing holes perfectly. Easy to install. Wondered whether the pins would be long enough but my shutters had such a tight fit between the frame and slats that the pin went in the hole far enough to firmly hold the slat in place. Finally repaired the shutters broken by indoor soccer games that should have been outdoors.

These pins were perfect to repair my plantation shutters. I just had to drill out the hole in the wooden frame as directed and push these pins into place. The old slat snapped into place and works perfectly. I didn't use the staples but instead went to Lowes and got a tiny screw with a loop on the end that I used to re-attach the slat to the vertical tilt bar so that it opens and closes with the rest of the slats.
