I have a Canon 1D-Mark III camera and genuine Canon battery for this camera is no longer available. At least I couldn't find one. I took a chance with this Kastar LP-E4 replacement since it was so inexpensive. After fully recharging the battery it showed 88% full charge. It's good enough and everything works as expected. It shows all the battery information on my camera just like the original battery. I'm very pleased with it, especially with the price.

Bought in November, will not hold a charge in February. Shows full charge in Canon charger, when I put int o mu 1D MkIII it does not have enough charge to finish the boot up of the camera. Very disappointed with this battery.Also, it is not a smooth fit. The battery pack dose not seat without having to push on it to seat and the locking catch requires more force than the 2 Canon LP-E4 batteries I have.

I received it and put it in my camera, and it showed 1 bar. I charged it in the original Canon charger overnight, put it in my camera, and it showed 4 bars (full). As far as I can tell, the battery interface is working perfectly. Unless the actual capacity turns out bad, I would say this Kastar product is great! I will revise my review if something disappoints me later.

I needed to get an extra backup battery. This is an inexpensive solution that works in my older Canon cameras (4 plus years old). Bit my newer Canon body (3 years old) will not recognize this battery.

I purchased 2 of these batteries. Received them on time and immediately put them both on charger. Both charged to capacity showing 100%. Fit and finish was very good. Fit into camera no issues and powered on showing 100%. I have no complaints and will do a follow up in a few months, crossing my fingers and toes.Update: Its been several weeks and these batteries have performed well. They charge to full capacity and seem to be holding a charge very well. I purchased two and charged both. So far I have only needed to use one and it is still charged over the 50% mark. All in all a good purchase for a lot less money then OEM.

It's on "recommended list" for sure! Working wonderfully with my 1Ds III, it lasts days and days when shooting some events, so buy it because I tried it!

Battery won't charge in either Canon or proprietary charger. I don't like that I have to order 6 of them to figure out which one works, then ship the others back on my dime in order to get a refund. Stay away!

Worked on the 1d Mark IV with battery charged showing. Does not show on 1DX. I knew this before i ordered it.
