Not For Yogurt
Maybe this is better suited to drain nut milks; I can't review the product for that. I bought this to strain yogurt and there are better options out there. I empty the contents of my IP after making a batch of yogurt using a 1/2 gallon of milk and it fits fine. I place the unit over a stock pot and place it in the bottom of my refrigerator for hours. After approximately 6 hours the yogurt sitting directly on the strainer is firmer the yogurt above, i.e. most of it, is still very runny/loose. On top of that some of the yogurt seeps through the mesh so the whey isn't pure whey, yogurt settles at the bottom of the collection bowl. There has to be something better.....right?

Large enough for an 8qt stock pot
Great yogurt strainer. I make yogurt by the gallon in my InstantPot. I was able to put an entire gallon of yogurt in this drainer, which fit nicely in my tall 8qt stock pot. The large outer wire clung to the rim of the stockpot to hold the entire strainer, with plenty of room under the strainer for whey to collect.Getting the yogurt out of the strainer was a bit of a challenge. I finally ladled the runny yogurt out of the middle, then had a handy kid hold steady the InstantPot liner while I did my best to invert the strainer into the IP. It worked, but was kind of awkward. Then I had to find the best way to manage the strainer while I scraped out the remaining yogurt. Maybe there's a version of this strainer material in a plastic mesh basket that would be easier to jigger around. I realize the strainer is advertised as "for nut milk", but I'm still giving it only 4 stars for sturdiness. As for cleaning, I just swished the strainer in hot sudsy water (in the stockpot, which also had to be washed) and rinsed with hot water using the sprayer. It's drying now in the dish rack.To the person who complained of yogurt that was "firm around the outside, runny in the middle" - that's the nature of making drained yogurt. If you want all the yogurt to be more firm coming out of the strainer you need to get in there with your spatula a few times during draining time. Scrape the rind toward the center and allow runny yogurt to flow out to the edge, just as when you're making scrambled eggs. Otherwise just whisk the lumps together with the runnier stuff. Or, use the old Frugal Gourmet method - one serving at a time in a coffee filter.

Great strainer for homemade yogurt!
This strainer does a fantastic job at straining my yogurt to create a thicker consistency. It is quite large & would easily handle a double batch from my Instant Pot. It fits over my stock pot so it’s raised enough that the collected whey doesn't seep back into the yogurt. The strainer rinses off very easily & dries quickly. It seems to constructed very well & is very sturdy. I would definitely recommend purchasing this product!

Good for straining yogurt
We make 1/2 gallon batches of yogurt. This works well for straining/thickening the yogurt. Best thing we've found so far. Seems like it will hold up for a while.Original thoughts revised. Not that easy to clean thoroughly. The metal parts are rusting. But it still does work well for yogurt, just looking for a lower maintenance option.

Love, love, love
I love this Nut Milk Bag. I use it to strain yogurt and it works wonderfully. I previously was using a flour sack towel to strain, which worked ok but I love how the yogurt just comes out of the bag so easily and catches every bit of yogurt without letting any go thru.

This filter is huge and awesome
This filter is amazing. I make my own yoghurt every week. We start with a gallon of milk and this can filter the whole gallon at once after fermentation.

Really easy to use and clean
I’m using this to strain yogurt from a gallon of milk almost weekly. It’s sturdy, strains well and is very easy to clean. Best of all is the structure of the bag - it easily fits the straining yogurt into a variety of bowls and pots while holding its open shape. Much, much easier to use than a typical bag. It’s like having extra hands holding it open. I strongly recommend it!

The best strainer
Bought this to strain my bone broth works wonderful. Gives a perfect clear broth. Some food particles can be hard to get out but it's worth it to get a clear cup.
