Case Club Military Grade Close Cell Polyethylene Foam to Fit Pelican Rifle Case

Received 3 pieces of foam as advertised for the Pelican 1750... although one piece (for the lid) did not appear to be closed cell. It seemed to be a standard open cell egg crate foam, which is ok, except it is about 1/2” too big. Thus once Inserted, it significantly bows out.The bottom 2 pieces are a 2.125” (middle piece) and a 1.125” bottom flat pad. The middle layer was about 1” off on the length leaving a 1/2” gap on each side. This was very disappointing.In general, the foam sizing is why I gave the product 3 stars. Every 1750 case is a standard size (even checked the foam in another 1750), so being off by 1/2+” is not acceptable... Maybe I got a bad batch.Personally, I also did not like the middle piece being 2.125” thick. Most of my items fall too deep into the foam once you’ve cut their slot. They are harder to get out given the closed cell foam firmness. Also, this means you cannot be as versatile with the bottom piece since it is so thin. If you cut that layer for use, most of my items would protrude above the foam, and then have direct contact with the layer above. I much prefer a 1.5” middle & lower layer or whatever comes standard with The case, but the ideal would be that it was Closed Cell. I can’t fault Case Club for this as their measurements were provided in the review... this was just my own lesson learned. YMMV

Received three pieces, two were cloaed cell foam and one is egg crate foam which is not what is advertised. One of the three pieces was about 3 inches too short to fit into the case and the end of it was cut at an angle. And shipping also took several days longer than it was supposed to. So I had to buy my own foam At a local craft shop to cut and fit into my gun case. Definitely poor quality control on what is being packed and shipped out.

Love the closed cell foam. Easy to cut, looks great, and *much more* supportive than the usual convoluted (egg crate) foam most gun cases have. Yes it is expensive. But hey if you have a $2,000 rifle with a $2,000 scope, keep it secure in a nice case. This will make your $50 case look like a $500 case.

The three pieces - the two closed cell pieces and the convoluted top piece all fit into the case perfectly. The closed cell pieces are not glued together - it will make cutting out the outline of a rifle much easier. I plan to purchase another set to fit a second take down rifle.

It fit the Pelican iM3300 rifle case perfectly. It even was clearanced for the wheels. The lid piece may have to be glued in, you know gravity can be challenging.

This is a solid foam setup for a gun case, but I used it to put in a gun cabinet I built. I had to cut it to fit the dimensions, but am happy with the quality of the product. It is easy to cut, but sturdy enough to hold weapons in a vertical position.

Pelican 1750: fits exactly as I'd hoped. Rigid foam middle, ready to cut. Not pluck-n-play. I'd buy it again.
