Best scissors I own, by far.
I wish I had known about these scissors before spending a lot of money on scissors that did not work as well. cuts are clean and fast, the metal is beautifully finished. They are ergonomically designed. They are heavier that most scissors, a feature which I appreciate; they will not bend out of shape. They are well worth the cost.

Very pleased.
I'm very happy with these scissors for $16.95. Compared to the Wiss 428N at 25.99, they are a good buy. The notable differences are: They have a shallower grind angle on the blade. I like it because that makes them a little more durable, which is nice in the shop the way our scissors get knocked around. It cuts really nice right out of the package, and are less "stiff" than the Wiss even though that adjustment in the screw is easy to make. The Handle on the Ultima is a bit thicker and feels slightly heavier as well as being about 1/4" longer. The cutting length from the pivot screw is exactly the same. Though "heavier" the Ultima handle is a bit more comfortable with less "casting" roughness where your fingers might get rubbed with prolonged use. These seem to feel well balanced where the Wiss seem a bit more nose heavy. The nose of the Ultima is more rounded in the front. The Wiss have a sharp angle on the top cutter that goes up to another hard angle. I'm pleased with the finish so far. The Wiss hold up to rust and stains really well, but as often as we go through scissors at my work, these Ultima's probably won't have a chance to get rusty. Good buy. I recommend.

Great pair of scissors!
I bought these scissors to use for reupholstering custom car seats. I'll also be reviewing some new foam cutters pretty soon as these two tools are used hand in hand for this job and I'm trying to make that job easier. These scissors do exactly what they are intended to do. They are very strong and fit my hand well while cutting the heavy vinyl and seat leather. They are nice and sharp and cut through test items very easily. I previously had a pair of shears which seemed to be stronger, however they don't cut as well as this pair of scissors. They are a lot more clunky where this pair is more accurate and easy to hold and use. I'm able to make rounded cuts easily and they snip well till the end without bunching the fabric. My only gripe is that I wish these had a nice case to keep them in so they don't get banged around in my toolbox. I know there isn't a lot to say about a pair of scissors, but I've found my new favorites, and they were worth sharing the experience, especially for the price. As usual, time will tell how these hold up, but after several seats, they are still as sharp as new.

Quality, Balance and Made in Italy
I love these shears. Made in Italy. They are quality. They have a nice weight and balance for multi types of fabric. Put down the plastic Fiscars and try a pair of professional dressmaking shears. I made my own case from some leftover padded fabric, as I plan on using these for many years. Bought another pair, as they were taken in a burglary. They are that lovely.

Fantastic scissors!
Exceeded expectations. For the same price, you could get way worse scissors. Buy these! I expect this to be a BIFL (buy it. for life) purchase. The quality is top-notch! If you're going to buy one pair of scissors- these are the ones!

Do yourself a favor. Ditch the Fiskars!
The quality of these scissors far surpasses the plastic handled (Which seem to break often) Fiskars we have purchased several times in the past. They also work well whether you are left or right handed! They are sharp, and have a heft you would expect in a pair of quality Italian made scissors. I was first introduced to Italian made scissors (albeit, a different, much more costly brand) at my job, and was instantly impressed with the NOTABLE, tactile difference in feel and in cutting ability. I took a chance with THESE 2402 Ultima Italian made scissors, hoping they would be "almost as good" and have been pleasantly surprised & impressed. Yes, they are more expensive than the Fiskars we used to buy, but the saying "Buy once, cry once" applies here. These are built to last with a little care, like leaving them in the included plastic sheath when not in use. The 8" overall length is a nice balance of length and cutting leverage. Cuts like BUTTER baby!
