Guinea Pigs: The Essential Guide To Ownership, Care, & Training For Your Pet (Guinea Pig Care)

It has been probably 15 years since I last owned guinea pigs and so I wanted a book to read as a refresher for me but also lots of good information for my 8 year old son who is just now learning about them. My 4 year old daughter might be interested in some of the information too however there are no pictures like most of the other reviewers state so I went ahead and ordered another book more geared towards her. This book was a great read and though there were a few repetitive parts, it was overall lots of useful information. We will be getting our 2 new guinea pig babies in just over a week when they are ready to leave mom and I am so excited to be able to teach them tricks. I did not even know you could teach them tricks!

I got it right on time and it gives off great information. Its written in a perfect way to where kids can read it and understand it and actually take in the information, plus its very to the point about the yes and no of guinea pig care. I got it because I was scared of getting a pair of piggies and this book is calming my nerves and exciting me to get new pets.

Book have large font size make it easy to read. Content should be very valuable to teach your children how to care for your pet, but if you're and adult looking for knowledge, the book may be a little light.

This book teaches basic information on the work needed to own a guinea pig. I found it helpful. It had no illustrations inside, though. There is no publisher listed inside it, and a few run ons and one grammatical mistake, but it is still a good book.

We've had our guinea pig for 4 months now & it's been a nightmare! I ask myself daily "why are you hand scooping piggie poop"Then... the little fella gives me nose kisses & I melt.Had I known the joy and reward given in caring for one of these little creatures, I'd have adopted one years ago.Guinea pigs take A LOT OF HARD WORK. Sadly, most just see a cute face in a pet store & take it home with NO knowledge of what care is needed. This book was a quick read & a life saver. So many good notes and info that guinea owners should read BEFORE they bring one home.

Easy to understand. Very thorough. Straight forward. Learned how to understand & enjoy my guinea pig. Awesome book. A child could easily interrupt the words in this book. This book is great for a parent & child to always come back to for reminders, in case you need a refresh on information. Very enjoyable to read.

This book was very informative. Do's and do not's of how to properly care for your pig. I'm hoping that the potty training will happen. My wife 4.vb leans the cage almost everyday because she doesn't want her pig to be stepping on poop.I can't stand guinea pigs, but my wife is in love with them ever since she babysat for her friends two pigs. So...hapy wife, happy life. Her princess Leah will be very well taken care of now thanks to theirs book.
