SOFTSPIKESCleat Ripper

So I bought this item because my soft spikes get real dirty and the two holes fill with dirt and small rocks. This wrench removed some but not all of my stubborn spikes. What DOES work better is to drill out the holes so they are clear of debris and deeper. Use the same size bit as the original hole. Then take the two post removal tool and now that the holes are clean and slightly deeper the tool will easily remove those difficult spikes. This Cleat Ripper tool did work as advertised but drilling is easier and faster.

Just got this in the mail, works like a charm! The teeth grip and dig into the base of the spike (where the spikes protrude), press & turn and spike pops off; even worked on spikes with only 4 spikes remaining. Wish I hadn't wasted money on those silly 2 prong tools, they just tear up the holes whenever a spike is stuck. This tool can also twist the spikes on and you really don't need a ratcheting head since a quarter turn fastens & loosens most spikes. Hate owning single purpose tools that are used infrequently but couldn't get pliers to work. A little cheaper and I would've rated it 5 stars.

I have a tendency to wear a set of cleats until they resemble my leather soled loafers for traction ability. By that time the holes that a normal cleat wrench uses to unscrew it are bunged up, have stones in them, or for one reason or another, can't get a grip. This tool is all business. Once it gets a bite on that errant cleat it's ripping that sucker outta the shoe like a pit from an olive. You won't want to get your fingers in between the cleat and the business end of this baby.

I’ve been using this on Footjoys tri-lock spiked shoes. Clearly you break out this tool after you've already wrecked the spike with the normal tool. This works best with harder plastic spikes like Stinger Champs. Softer spikes like Scorpion Softspikes just sort of shred. *Caution - Very sharp edges., be careful (not even sure TSA would let you on a plane with one of these).

The last set of footjoy soft spikes I was changing out took me over an hour to remove. With this tool I can rip out the old spikes as fast as you can say Jack the Ripper. I actually had a conceptual design in my head, but someone beat me to it. Maybe next time, but for right now, this is the tool you need.

Outstanding. There's always the 1 or 2 spikes that won't come out using the standard tool that just can't get a good grip in the worn spike holes and just tear up the cleat without getting it out. The Ripper grabs hold of the torn up spikes and gets them out with little effort. The only drawback (if any) is that the blades are sharp and you need to be careful not to hurt yourself.

This thing is great. Tried it on my stuck, worn-down FootJoy spikes and it popped them all out in seconds. It's got sharp blades, and I feared it would just saw the cleats off and leave my shoes unusable, but it grabbed them and removed them. Tip: Keep your old two-pronged spike wrench (the one that didn't work if you're reading this); it'll be helpful in putting the new cleats in.

Awesome. I had 7 of 10 soft spikes that were stuck in my golf shoes, the spike remover that I have did not have long prongs and it was just chewing up the old soft spikes. I tried pliers, a hammer and screwdriver to no avail. I bought this yesterday on amazon, it was delivered today, and 3 minutes later all 7 stuck soft spikes were removed and replaced. It is better at removing the spikes than I could have imagined.

This wrench really works well. It grips into the cleats and without having to apply a tremendous force, you can get the worn ones out. With a normal wrench this was a nightmare, as that tends to grip around the legs of the cleat.As the reason (at least for me) for changing the spikes is the fact one ore more legs of the cleat have gone, you can imagine where this gets you. I literally have reverted to brute force and the use of pinchers i the past to get some of them out.Good investment, well worth the money.

Absolutely superb tool for getting old spikes out. I had left replacing my spikes for far too long and some of them were almost flat to the sole of the shoe but taking them out with this was very easy.

Works well.

This was great at removing golf shoe cleats that were too worn to be removed by any other means. Would definitely recommend.
