Bro, I just bought this item today and I got straight to work, I had to use a razor that I disassembled from a sharpener cause I don't have any razors, anyways! And a blow dryer too.. so I go to work, I looked on YouTube, the vids are 8 mins long more or less but it did take me 3 hours I was trying to be so precise and everything but I made it work and I am so happy, I recovered all the photos from my highschool year that I'm able to reminisce with friends. I am very content and well I hope I don't have to buy this product again 😂 but I will and I'm very happy. The only downside tho is the adhesive tape, perhaps something stronger and more of it, that's the only downside of it. Other than that 5 stars for sure!

I dunked my old S5, but the only thing damaged was the touch screen. I bought this just to repair the old guy long enough to get all the data off. This thing comes with ALL the tools you need to do a complete teardown - but all needed to do was switch out the touchscreen. Important tip: Watch ALL the videos you can - not one of them has all the steps and techniques you need to follow. I used a hairdryer to loosen the seals - worked just fine, because I wasn't worried about saving the old screen. I also wasn't worried about getting it sealed in tightly - but it seems like the glue strips they included were not enough to do the job. They should have at least twice the number of strips as they include. The end quality of the screen was amazing though - really bright and touch responsive. That old phone is now my emergency back-up, and I wouldn't hesitate to put it back into service.

After installing the new screen, verifying it worked, it slipped out of my hand and fell on carpet....yes, carpet....and the new screen shattered. It us useless once again. This is a weak product and not recommended.

Never realized how bad the other screen was till I put the new one in. Just watch the 8 min install video on youtube and it’s easy Peary.
