Impressive laptop/ notebook
I purchased this Acer notebook after checking out various laptops reviews on Which, and I am very pleased with my choice. I especially like the back lighting on the keyboard and the feel of the keys. The battery life is also very good and the monitor and sound are good when I am using them for the virtual meetings I currently attend. The initial set up was easy. Only reason I rated fingerprint reader low is because my personal preference is not to use it. This notebook has really helped me to work from home and communicate via social media with greater ease. Overall I think this notebook is very good value for money and I definitely recommend it.

Nice, Slim and Compact Laptop
I use this laptop for work and leisure. It is compact and lightweight which makes it easy to carry around. The battery life is pretty decent, screen resolution is better than I expect, and it's an all round good performer. Value for money.

Good, practical and basic - but beware of Windows S Mode
We have bought several of these for our office, using Office 365 type software, so not really pushing the CPU. They run quickly and efficiently, little lag and no problems or slow down so far. Easy to set up, easy to run. Picture quality is good, sound reasonable. They're never going to mimic a top of the range unit but absolutely fine for day to day use for those not needing to push the envelope. Our are used for office work, email, web etc. and not much more. Wouldn't want to tackle big video projects on them, for example. A BIG WARNING: Be very aware, however, of Windows 10 S mode, which these come with. S (Safe) Mode is great for those who just want to get on with things, but might present real problems down the line as you cannot download any non microsoft apps or personalize the device (there are workarounds for this, but it'll put a flag everywhere saying 'Windows Not Activated'). In some instances, S mode can be switched off to full Windows 10, but this can never be undone and might have an effect on performance or IT security for the unwary. Only Windows Store apps will run, so no Zoom or Google Chrome etc. Again, workarounds exist in certain circumstances (Zoom can be installed as an app within an app in MS Teams, for example), but it's a pain and requires some technical know how, and only for some applications - so be really sure Windows S can handle what you need to use it for before buying.

Fantastic laptop
I have been using this laptop for the last three months now and I have no complaints... The battery life is really good, it has great speed and it looks smart. It is really easy to type with too. I have not had any issues with it since I started using it. It is a really good deal for the price and I would highly recommend it.

1 Flaw..
I'm not much of a computer geek as I'm from windows 98 & XP era. This is my 3rd ever Laptop, I've previously owned a dell in the mid 00s & a small Acer laptop touchscreen for the past 7 years which was extremely slow. This Laptop is super fast compared to anything I have experienced before. I press the on button & within 3 seconds I'm on the net browsing. It has a finger touch thingy to log in as well. That's mental to me lol. I've followed YouTube videos & turned off irrelevant apps & notifications that I am not going to use, as this helps making it even faster & saving sufficient battery life. I'm simple person who just got it for browsing & saving photos, music etc. Battery life is insane. Its just wow to me. The thickness & weight of it is nice. I remember my Dell laptop making noises & heating up under. Nothing like this anymore. 1 major issue & problem I have is the headphone bit. It doesn't work straight away when you put your headphones in & I've tried solving it by watching YouTube vidoes & still haven't been successful. I have to use my Ps4 control pad to be able to hear with my headphones. Like I said I'm not a tech geek, I'm sure there is a way of me just putting it in & making it work, alot of other people in YouTube comments have had the same problem. I like the colour of my Laptop too. Rosemary pink, stands out & goes with the same colour of my mp3 player too. The price was expensive but worth it, especially now me using it for 8 months & seeing the difference. Being able to pay 5 monthly installments helped. I would just like to add, it doesn't come with a CD port, so you'll need by that separately if you plan to use that. I'm a guy who has things saved on CD's & never been able to transfer files on these modern day laptops.

Perfect work laptop!
This is the perfect laptop for browsing, doing any kind of word processing/admin, the speakers are really good and the display is fantastic. Light up keyboard, great battery life, lightweight and fits easily into my backpack. Wouldn't recommend running it in s-mode, but very easy to opt out of that. Great laptop for work!

RECOMMENDED - A good quality bargain priced Windows 10 laptop
Based on a Which? Best Buy recommendation, I bought two of these for family members for use as general purpose computers for internet browsing, emails etc. Impressed by the build quality and plenty quick enough running Windows 10. Screen and keyboard reasonably good too. Only niggle was coming from Apple MacBook I did find the trackpad overly sensitive, but that would just need either optimising, getting used to, or a separate mouse. Based on my initial review, I'd RECOMMEND the Acer Swift 1 SF114-32.
