Amazing EDC or survival knife
I was really impressed when I opened the box. Lets start with the looks. The esthetics of the knife are great. The black G10 handle with orange handleliner (which I assume is also G10) looks great, and to have a matching Ferro rod and stiker handle is definitely a bonus. The sheath is vaccum molded kydex which is very durable and easy to maintain. The ferro rod and striker attached to the sheath in their own seperate compartments, but more importantly they fit snug in their compartments. The belt clip is high quality and can be positioned so you knife is vertical or horizontal on your belt and can easily be switch with removing 2 screws (and they give you a tool to do it.Now on to the knifeThe knife is made from high carbon which makes it great for any scenario in which you may need a knife. The thick spine is perfect for batoning kindling wood while camping. It also has a sharp 90 degree spine which since it is made from 1095 high carbon steel means you can use the spine of your knife on the ferro rod when you hands are cold and the striker would be hard to use. The straight spine hunter profile makes it easy to use in the vast majority of you knife needs in the woods. Although I am not a fan of secondary bevels one most knifes the second bevel is high enough that it won't impact most intricate cutting but is still there to support the spine and give it a good weight. The handle shape is comfortable and has a decent swell in the palm area for knife retention while cutting or batoning but it is not shaped in a manner that only allows for forward cutting. The handle material is mechanical fastened to the full tang with Colby bolts so there is no way the material will come off or loosen after time.I am sure I missed a thing or two in this review but I will edit it later. I must say that I have not use the knife yet and I do not torture test my knives but it went directly in to my EDC bag and will be tested soon. I if find something I don't like I will make sure to update this review. As a knifemaker and knifesmith I could not believe the quality for the price. Receiving a knife as a gift I am always reluctant to use it because I have my own that I have made but I am definitely going to use this knife as much as possible due to the fact that my sons got it for me.I highly recommend this knife for people new to bushcraft and to bushcraft veterans. Just know high carbon steel will rust if it is not cares for properly.I had never heard of holtzman knives before but I will be checking out their product line very soon.

Fantastic knife
I received this knife about two weeks ago . I was very impressed with the packaging. The box it came in was very well made and I like the magnetic closure . The box is form fitted to the knife , the sheath , the fire steel and striker. It more of a presentation box than a shipping box.The knife is of high quality and feels great in the hand. It comes out of the box razor sharp. It holds an edge quite well even after doing camp tasks such as making feather sticks. The fire steal and striker are fantastic. The striker throws huge sparks off the fire steel. The sheath is great as well. The kydex sheath is well made and I love the fact the fire steel and striker all fit on to the sheath. The fit is tight so not to worry about them coming out and getting lost while hiking.Overall this a great value for the money and would be a great gift and any outdoor enthusiast.

Awesome Bushcraft Knife Set at an incredible price!
First let's start off with the packaging, the box it comes in is A+. It's a durable and well packed custom box that fits everything perfectly and won't let it move around. It looks so good that it's presentable as a gift box if you were giving it to someone. It has a nice weight on it, so if you're chopping it's got some power behind it. The grip is solid, I had a little oil on my hand and it wasn't slipping at all. It's a full tang 1095 carbon steel blade with about an inch of jimping on it for extra stability. There's a hole to attach a lanyard on it if you want on the pommel. The Kydex Sheath is snug and will have no issues with the knife slipping out. It has a leather strap if you want to wear it as a dangler and a Tek Lok to fasten it securely to almost anything. They even have molded slots for a ferro rod and a scraper. The ferro rod and scraper even having matching G10 handles. The blade has a 90 degree spine so if you'd rather use your knife to strike sparks you can.I honestly don't know how they're able to sell this knife at this price point! This is a must buy if I've ever seen one,

Great knife. Poorly formed sheath.
Love the knife. Super sharp. I adorned the red accents with more red after slicing a finger, severing a tendon that required surgery to fix.My only gripe is the sheath. It has a strap to retain plus kydex retention. I know better and knew better at the time but did it anyway. The knife got stuck in the sheath. I used a flathead screwdriver to twist and open the area of retention. It stretched the kydex but the knife was still stuck. I pulled too much then corrected and got two fingers. Again, I knew better.Everything is super attractive. The knife is razor sharp. I’m very happy with the purchase and would buy again. I’m going to do a little surgery on the sheath with a dremel to remove most of the kydex retention and rely on the strap once I have use of my hand again. If you buy, use caution. Don’t repeat my mistake.

Amazing knife- great quality
I got this knife a couple weeks ago and finally got to really try it out this weekend. The full tang construction makes this a sturdy knife that can hold up to any abuse I subject it to. The thick steel construction gives it durability, and a nice weight that is balanced wonderfully. The blade comes razor sharp, and the 1095 high carbon steel will hold an edge for a long time. It also comes with a little flint and steel set up that hooks right into provided sheath. The sheath has a unique adjustable belt clip that tightens up and locks on your belt. You won’t accidentally lose your sheath, but you don’t need to undo your belt to remove the sheath either. As it’s set up, I wouldn’t classify it as an EDC, but that’s where the features step it up. The sheath is customizable, and there is even a tool supplied with the knife so you can customize your sheath to fit your needs. You can remove the flint and steel attachments ( and tie them on a piece of included paracord) and adjust the sheath from vertical to horizontal carry. This brings it a little closer to an EDC. I love my knife and you’ll love it too.
