Great Product!
I am no stranger to the Vibram Five Fingers shoes, this will be the third pair that I have purchased; I have always been satisfied with the comfort, mobility, and the superior craftsmanship of the Komodo Sport (This not to imply that other Vibram Five Fingers aren't great choices). The Komodo Sport is by far Vibram Five Finger's finest, designed with the more aggressive athlete in mind; these shoes hold up to indoor and outdoor running, hiking trails, and any gym (weight-lifting) activity. Personally, I appreciate wearing my Five Fingers when doing deadlifts, squats, leg press, etc., because it's as if I am doing my leg exercise routine barfoot, providing the best footing. The Vibram Five Fingers are easy to maintain, simply drop them into the washing machine, and allow them to air dry (this is why I always own two pair, to not interrupt being able to use them-if you can afford to do so). I say this because I wear mine without the Five Finger socks, as do most others. I Wash mine regularly, which hasn't weakened the structural integrity of the shoe either. Also, going without socks hasn't never aggitated the skin on my feet. I believe that others that made these statements about the shoes causing them irritation, possibly didn't buy the proper size, so be sure to purchase the correct size. If you're looking for the most aggressive Vibram Five Fingers shoe, the Komodo Sport is a great option, you will not be disappointed.

Great shoes
They fit well and they pretty much force me to run correctly. I am 49 years old and an Army guy, but I never really learned to run correctly until very recently. I was at a medical conference and one of the speakers gave a talk on running. While he is a barefoot runner, I can't quite do that, although I did it ally life before I joined the service. My soles just won't take it. These shoes give you protection for your soles that will prevent their injury, but not much else. So you are forced to strike the geound in a way that protects other bones and joints from injury. Some hate the, I love them. Unfortunately, I can't take my fitness test in them, which I think is a prejudice the Army needs to get over, but that ain't likely to happen.

VIbram KSO - for weightlifting
Pros: Lightweight (as all vibrams are), offers good protection for the base of the feet, True to size, excellent for squats/deadliftsCons: The LS system is really nice and allows tightening of the shoe, but when tightening it pinches a little at the top - very minor problem, may want to consider the original velcro designLet me preface by saying I am not a runner, I use these shoes for fitness/weightlifting - if you haven't considered the KSOs as a gym rat then you should. One of my biggest problems with my previous shoe was I would feel off balance when squatting or dead lifting. With the barefoot approach you are able to engage your lower body quite a bit more for deadlifts and I really feel as though it is a lot safer on my lower back.As an added anecdote I have accidently kicked weights that are laying on the ground when wearing these and there is a fair bit of padding that extends up along the big toe - I have no idea if this padding was designed for 'toe stub' situations but I haven't actually hurt myself by doing this - however if you drop a weight directly on your toes it would hurt quite a bit, but no shoe aside from a steel toe would help with that

Dosen't fit well for people with Morton's Toe
I got into the whole minimalist running a while back and though i would try the VFF. I would not recommend this shoe for people who have Morton's Toe (the big toe is shorter than the one next to it). The shoes will give you blisters. If you are looking for minimalist, I would go with softstar run-a-mocs which are very comfortable and look great!

Great for Planters fasciitis
I purchased these shoes after reading several articles about them helping with Planters Fasciitis. I went to the Podiatrist several times and found no cure. The five finger shoes did not cure it but after wearing them for a while my feet felt stronger. I am not the type of person to dismiss medical advice but against my Podiatrist advice I bought them. The first couple of days my feet hurt but now the feel great. I would recommend them to everyone. I wear them all the time.I have also come to the conclusion that they make your feet stronger.i.e promote muscle growth and strength.

Perfect for WODs
Exactly what barefoot shoes should be. Very flexible but still with good durability of the outsole rubber. You can run as long as your body permits and not have to worry about the soles of your shoes giving out.

I absolutely love these shoes!!!
I have foot issues; have had them all my life! My toes are deformed from wearing shoes too small for my feet when I was growing up. I haven't worn anything except slip on back-less shoes for 30 years until now! I love these shoes!!! I put my glasses on first in the morning then my shoes and then I head off to the bathroom... They are that good!!! My feet do not sweat, my toes are now straight! I walk without any unsteadiness! I can walk or stand without pain and I can do it for a long time! I now climb stairs! I am absolutely in love with these shoes! I never dreamed this was possible! Thanks to Kara for telling me about them!

Great shoe, durable
Got this shoe a day or so early, they felt tight at first, but they stretched out and now are a perfect fit. I use mine hard, they are always filled with mud when i am done with them, i just hose them off and they dry quickly. The only set back i've found is that if you walk through fields plants, flowers and things can get stuck between your toes and cause discomfort. You have to either push on, or stop and clear out your toes. But this is only in those type of fields, not grass.Hope this helps!
