Sturdy and helpful
I am 5’ 2” and was able to adjust this to a comfortable height. I am recovering from ankle fracture surgery. The scooter’s small basket lets me transport (small ) objects around the house and the brake lock feature allows me to confidently rest my knee on the scooter pad, so I can work at a counter.

Love my knee rover
I am 4’11” tall adult women and I was afraid the adult size scooter would be too tall for my short legs and torso. The child one was perfect out of the box. It came about 99 % assembled. You just have to put the handle bars and basket on. Easy to adjust. The instructions tell you how to adjust breaks which I didn’t have to do and to make sure to tighten the wheels every few days if needed. So far I haven’t had to do anything to mine. I had foot surgery 3 weeks ago and I was getting very tired of crutches and they were hurting my arm pits and I felt very unstable using them and almost fell a few times which is scary. I have had no issues with my knee rover. It does take some getting used to and learning not to lean forward. Best to keep your center of gravity for better balance and maneuvering it. I have 2 more weeks till I get my cast off and wish I had bought this at the very beginning.

Will give you some freedom back!
Purchased for broken foot with 6-8 weeks non-weight bearing; after 1 week on crutches I needed an alternative! If your Dr approves of a knee scooter and you are a lightweight adult/child under 5'5" this is a must. For reference I am 5'3.5" and weigh 112lb & this kids size scooter is ideal as is less bulky/heavy than others. Does not require that you inflate the tires, bonus. Some assembly out of box but wrench provided. It does not collapse as small as images & I couldn't lift in/out of car alone on one leg! but if someone helps & you have space in car/small suv it will fit.At 5'3.5" there is still room to adjust handlebars & knee rest higher (guessing 5'5" ish you'd still be comfortable - check max weight allowed). It is not perfect, does not turn on a dime so occasionally need to lift front up to make a 360 turn. My knee did hurt the first couple days felt like a trapped nerve behind knee, persevere. My suggestion is play around with the height. Knee must be at right angle and hips sit level. Handlebars at just below waist height. It does have a hand break which is nice but honestly it doesn't move around loads when stationary due to the rubber wheels. It does not remove the need for crutches which you still want for stairs. I purchased 2 scooters and kept 1 down and 1 upstairs. They are a good price point and have given me a lot of freedom. Mainly as it frees up your hands and saves your underarms/shoulders from strain of crutches. My family laughed at the basket but you will not believe how useful it is! I have not used on rough terrain (only the supermarket). Holds up perfectly for indoor & level pavement usage.

Good, not perfect.
Let's see. My kid is about 46 inches tall, but has a long torso, and this does not go short enough for him, but it's better than anything else we've tried. We have it as low as it can possibly go, and he has to stand on the ball of his foot to touch ground in bare feet with his leg fully extended. If the knee pad were not so thick, it would probably be better with a shoe on. I don't see how this could possibly work down to 3'6. My kid is at least 3'9" and it's 3 inches too tall.Assembly wasn't particularly hard, but they sent two locking pins and I have no idea where the second one would go? Everything is secure. The turning was VERY stiff at first and I had to fold down the handlebar and use it as a lever to loosen things up (it would not turn right at all and left only a little at first, but as soon as it got a little loosened it was fine.)The brake was also too stiff. No way a five year old could possibly use it. I took it into a bike shop and they adjusted it for free until it was much easier to use and actually worked to lock the wheel in place. We added an after market water bottle holder to it, and my son is zipping around the house happily.

Works great!
Son broke his ankle while skate boarding. This made getting around so much easier!

I am a short petite woman, 5'2". This walker was perfect for me. I had foot surgery that was more complex than anticipated, and was suddenly nonweightbearing for three weeks. My job involves a lot of walking and up-and-down. I simply could not have worked with crutches. This is a very sturdy, well-made walker. The turning circle is a little wider than I had anticipated, and involves a bit of backing up and going forward to make a tighter turn.Assembling it was very simple. The front basket is quite helpful. It is not too heavy so I can easily lift it up and down one step. The color is a great shade of teal. The only drawback is that I found the kneepad a bit rough. I needed to wear an extra padding or an ace wrap on my knee so that it didn't become very irritated. After a few days it softened up and was fine.I oiled the back wheel twice and it is still squeaky. This is a totally minor problem.Compared to rental this is actually a better price. I am not sure if it is adequate for someone who is taller than 5 foot three or four.As an aside, if you have a leg cast, also purchase a good cast cover and a plastic stool for the shower. They are lifesavers.
