this is nice/thick, professional looking/feeling fabric. Not sure any fabric is 100% dog-proof :) BUT this is thicker then a chain store cotton

Buy a sample swatch for $1. Fabric is sort of like sail cloth.I covered dining chairs slip seats over a year ago and they still look like new.
