With my first born, maybe a month into breastfeeding, I started using goat's rue and I think it made a difference. After a very rocky start, with my son in the NICU, first fed with a tube down his throat, then moved to his nose so I could try to breastfeed. It took a week for my milk to come in, so the NICU nurses had to bottle feed my son donated breastmilk. Once we got home, my milk came in and I was able to breastfeed but it was a struggle and I cluster fed a lot to ensure he was getting enough milk. Eventually, it was recommended by my lactation consultant to try goat's rue. It was exactly what I needed. Like many others the capsules in my first bottle looked light greenish but the next bottle looked very pale and had little black specs and then my last one smelled like mold really bad.Unfortunately I didn't open it until after the return period since it was still sealed and before the expiration date while I finished my previous bottle. Too many issues and variations to feel safe taking it anymore.

Used this product to help with breast milk supply. It has helped. No after taste. Easy to swallow. Effective to give me enough increase to not need formula anymore. I was sometimes 3 -4 oz short a day for baby’s needs before this. Strength is good. No side effects.

These boosted my milk supply within 24 hours of taking them, but then it gradually tapered off again. I was afraid if I stopped taking them, my milk supply would drop. For reference, I took 2 capsules every night. The price is very good compared to other brands.
